Why didn't you reply to my post.
It's hard to argue facts isn't it? - bloatedmosquito
So betting lines in Vegas are now the benchmark against which the quality of NHL teams is measured? Wow. But congrats on finding "facts" that fit your narrative....
Are you denying that the collection of Calgary, Colorado, Edmonton and Minnesota represented the sorriest collection of division opponents in recent years this side of the old Southeast Division? Looks to me like that's nearly 30% of Vancouver's schedule that they've been able to coast through in recent years, each and every year....
Are you also denying that what, 20 games(?) against L.A., San Jose, Anaheim, and Phoenix are going to make for a much tougher road, even with the subtraction of Colorado and Minnesota? I'll wait right here.
Do you expect them to hit the ground running and rack up quality wins right away with a new coach and new systems? Just wondering....
Vancouver is a good team, and if they rise to the challenge, congrats to them.
But I think they are in for a much tougher time with their new neighbors. |

Changing your tune quite a bit. Before it's all "they won't make the playoffs". Now it's "they will have a harder time making the playoffs."
Yes, the betting line generally sets the benchmark for team potential. They are in it to make profit (and a lot of it). With a poor line they could potentially lose millions upon millions of dollars. Their opinion matters, unlike your own. So congrats on learning something new.
Yes, I do deny your statement that the Northwest was the 'sorriest collection of division opponents in recent years'. The numbers don't agree with this assertion. Look up the stats you luddite and stop relying on your emotional state to form your opinions.
No need to wait. You are correct. But a tougher road doesn't mean the canucks miss the playoffs. Their winning percentage against all Western Conference teams are good to great. So we don't win the President’s Trophy. Not that big a deal.
New coaches always provide question marks going into a season. But sometimes they can provide a spark that a team needs to be ultimately successful. Lots of examples and if you know hockey then I don't have to list them here.
So in conclusion your argument and opinion are weak in their construction. Try harder next time hater. |

Was it really 23? NHL.com didn't post the attendance on the game summary. - ward30nhl
One radio announcer here counted 23 people in the stands , they charged 20 for parking and had the game at 3 pm local time. |

But they do get to have some of the best upcoming talent from drafts and while our owners pay their bills . They charge 8 dollars a game and the fans do get a free hot dog .
They should be stripped of their team. |

So Penguins and the Sharks aren't on the list, but Toronto and Montreal are?
That makes the list pretty much worthless.

What does MTL has to prove? Everyone knows they overachieved in a short season last year and came down to earth in the playoffs. They are still rebuilding and if they stay healthy (unlikely with all those smurfs) they might fight for a playoffs spot. |

They just said on TSN that the attendance was 12.
Apparently, it was two families from Canada. |

I think San Jose has passed their expiry date, but they were up there in with Philly. Pittsburgh has won a championship within the last 5 years, not sure why they're desperate.
And I concur, my list is useless. As is every other opinion on this site as we're all offering up our limitless hockey knowledge while using pseudonyms. |

Penguins sold the farm last year and it still didn't get them anywhere, close
to the finals. And they choked every year since the Bettman made everything possible
to make sure Cindy has one.
If that's not a definition of desperate, I don't know what is.

Everybody needs to take this picture and post it in every hockey site. Whatever it takes, this franchise needs to be moved. As a Leafs fan, like you Canuck fans, we're sick of paying high ticket prices, to provide revenue sharing to these garbage franchises. The NHL needs to be embarrassed over this!

Vancouver had a .500 record against the northwest, A winning record against central, and were marginally below .500 against the pacific.
So from the numbers as far as vancouver, the central was worse.
I know, conjecture is so much easier to argue than facts. Sucks, dont it? |
