The Sens this years habs, not sure you have any thing to back that up. They have size and goaltending, pretty much the exact opposite of ten years ago. - david22

What about the three goal night Pageau had against Montreal?
I think Canadiens fans are a little spooked by the kid! - spatso

So the Sens are an AHL team? Okay thanks. - A_Tree
They were when they went into last year's playoffs.
Karlsson playing on one leg, Spezza playing with a broken spine, Michalek playing on one leg. Look at the roster that beat Montreal. A significant portion of those guys started the year in the AHL and probably wouldn't have been ready for the NHL playoffs if Ottawa hadn't lost every key player to a significant injury during the season. |

So far in camp Lehner has been the guy.
My guess is Lehner takes over as #1 as the season progresses. |

You will go through 3 successive drafts and not picked any higher then 29th. That's going to spell disaster, with no top level prospects in the pipeline. Who was the last decent draft? Adam Larsson? - PrinceLH
Are you really saying you wouldn't have made that trade? |

Actually, I didn't even mention the Habs. I don't hate the Habs to be honest. I nothing them.
The only statement I'd be willing to revise in my post would be regarding the goaltenders. New Jersey could roll with Brodeur or Schneider with confidence. So there, the Devils and the Senators have the best tandems in the east.
Everything else I said, it's partly opinion, but completely based in facts.
Sorry I didn't pump the Habs for ya though, being left out probably feels crummy.
Crummy like going into the playoffs as the 2 seed and losing in 5 games to an AHL team. - the_terror
Crummy like the most Stanley Cups and the most storied franchise in the league? You're a peach.
I think Reimer and Bernier are up there with goaltending tandems, you don't need to agree. |

So, if I said same attitude about the Leafs for the last 10 years, could i just say they'll miss the playoffs? This is not a fair argument, they took a step forward last year and got beat by a better team. Time will tell how well this translates, with a new captain as well. |

If nothing else everyone should be able to agree that Murray has done an amazing job rebuilding the Sens on the fly.
Just a year ago some of you guys were saying the Sens would be a lottery team for the next several years. Amazing! |

Pretty sure I would have forfeited the 29th pick. |

Literally?
Give me a break. I'm sure they weren't 100% but as a professional you suck it u and play. I hardly would call them an AHL team. It may have been a running joke from the beginning of last season, but it's irrelevant right now.
Inexperienced is what there were (are). Just like the leafs, but no one would dare serve us the same grace. Let's wait and see what happens in April. |

Ottawa is the youngest team in the NHL
They are the tallest team (avg) in the league.
They are the second heaviest team (avg) in the league.
And, they can skate! - spatso
This is an amazing prediction since rosters haven't even been set. Has this Pageau kid even made the team? |

For all the credit Lou gets for being so smart that was a seriously dumb move. I'm gonna keep this 29th pick just in case we win the cup next year and have to pick 30th. |

It's a given! It's called affirmative action. We need a francophone midget to make our quota. We already have an anglo midget and an equal number of Euro's to American's and Canadian's. It's all about our National Capital region pride.......we are an equal opportunity employer and follow the Conference Board of Canada recommendations on hiring. |
