LA made the playoffs by 4 points.... A large part of that thanks to Bernier shining while Quick struggled to find his game.... If quick misses a big part of the season they do not have depth in that position and could conceivably struggle to make the playoffs..... but they do have depth everywhere else....

Ottawa last year proved that a great system, with discipline and commitment, is more important than great individuals talents. As for the kings, Quick was struggling at the beginning of the season so his injury was actually a blessing.

Meanwhile Leafs and Isles fans finally taste postseason play and suddenly their teams are worldbeaters. All I hear is the same cliche line about the Flyers... "their defense and goaltending are a question mark, blah, blah, blah." Guess what everyone, the Flyers D and goaltending have been a question for 20 years and it never prevented us from contending. I get the horrible season is fresh in the critics minds but the Flyers will be in playoffs this season, I'd bet a lot of money on that. They have so much talent and with a little injury luck they're a 100+pt hockey club. Most everyone on this page will be proven wrong this year.
