playoffs for the first time (in a shortened season) in how long? and apparently now they are locks for the playoffs if you ask most leaf fans

Funny how when you Leafs fan refer to NJ missing the play offs you don't mention us being tops in the east while healthy but because we had some pretty big injuries and where injured most of the season means that a Healthy NJ team this year is miles worse then our injured team last year.Clearly the fact that we where one of the best puck possesion teams in the league along with us giving up the fewest amounts of shots per game means we just missed the playoffs because we sucked. That just isn't the case because had we stayed healthy there is nothing that proves we wouldnt have made it and that is without Parise. Then add Schneider, Clowe, Jagr, Ryder, and minus a guy who couldn't be found for 30 games and Kovalchuk who missed a fair bit of time last season. The take into account the further devlopement of Adam Larrson Adam Henrique and Andrie Loktionov and at the very least a better season from Zajac and we are a much better team this season.

dont the leafs typically fall down the standings in the 2nd half? kinda hard to do that in a 48game season which is around the time they start their slides

the game also isnt played on paper, teams make the playoffs when other teams have better players on paper so to say clearly better than is dumb

schneirder is 40?

clowe can replace clarkson and surpass him

clarkson isnt as big a loss as many people believe when you see who "replaced" him

he had 1 big season due to elias and a fast start but after 12 or so games he is invisible, oh and his career year was 46pts
