Precisely. Bold moves are one thing. Kneejerk moves lacking foresight are another. If they gave up one of our best future blueline prospects for a temporary solution at center I would be furious. - TheTaoOfSemenko
We are deep with defense prospects, and literally at 0 for center. Klefbom might be good for us in the future but it doesnt sink the team to trade him for an even bigger need and thats a centerman at this point. However i used his name as an option for trading if needed. Id sooner trade marincin who i think at this point is farther along in his development but if he cant make the team this year why not move him and get a 1st/2nd line center out of him. |

I certainly wouldnt consider trading one of those 3 prospect defenders (nurse, klefbom or marincin) for a stop gap that might be redundant for us in 6 weeks.
Terrible.
An impact centermen that could fill a hole longterm? Maybe |

Tell yourself what you like. You're clearly bitter because youre a fan of a relentlessly dirty team. I hope Shanahan takes a look at it and suspends Kassian for at least 15 games. - TheTaoOfSemenko
You guys need to address the systemic softness, the Canucks arnt even a tough team but look like the Boston Bruins compared to you guys. |

No, the Canucks are a cheap, dirty team... No matter how "tough" your team is, if you take an elbow to the head or a stick to the face by a couple of losers, you're going to get hurt.

Richardson on the 3rd??

No its not, but there not going to rush Gaunce or Horvat at center, they dont like to anoint roster spots when theres value developing in the CHL further. Richardson is solid in a checking role, they'd be happy to get 10 goals from him if he plays the shut down role. Theres also talk if Santorelli outplays Richardson, Santorelli who has put up points before(20 goals in FLA) would be 3rd and Richardson 4th. Besides Hansen and Higgins on the 3rd line wings, all the rest of the bottom 6 spots will be in flux, Santorelli and Richardson competing for the 3rd line minutes. Jordan Schroeder probably has a broken foot so im not going to hold my breath about him being a 3rd line center, but he could also be an option as he played there last year some. There probably going to keep him on the roster till he heals and give him a chance to see if he's up to it. He has to clear waivers so theyll avoid sending him to the minors. I believe since he is skilled and a 2009 1st rounder theyve been patient with, they won't take the chance to losing him. |
