Amazing that a game, even a pre-season one, for a team owned by a company that not only is the largest cable company in the world, but which also owns several TV networks, isn't on TV.

So Bill, with all the caveats of this bing preseason and trying to get to know the roster and blahblahblah....how disturbed are you by the constant slow starts this team has. Every game that I have seen/heard they have come out in the first period and pretty much been sleep walking. ie The way they played most of last season and many games in the previous season.

How much more of that do you think Homer will take?

I understand the defenseman trade speculation (Meszaros/Grossman) but why on earth would the Flyers trade a center?

so if i understand correctly, if the flyers used a breakout that more closely resembled the one murray authored for the kings, they would be more successful in this area because of the forward responsibilities...stretch passes would be the exception, not the rule and this would obviously reduce or virtually eliminate the gap issues that stand out in bold relief vs teams like NJ.

since murray's teams played a different system altogether from lavi, what changes need to be made by the latter to avoid the lather, rinse, repeat act we expect tonite?

They need Grossmann, and Meszaros has no real trade value so I'm not sure who they will trade with.

kinda figured that, but what happened in 2010? i know they snuck in and lucked out in many ways, but the system worked when the effort was there. is pronger-level outlet passing the only way for his system to work at this point?
