So, Lundqvist is not nhl calibre goaltending now, good to know...thanks...your knowledge and wisdom will keep me satisfied that you are correct

I guess if hunter can come across the blue line and fire pucks off d men then he'll be just fine ... If u think what hendrik Lundquist did last night is nhl calibre then your crazy ... Those nights happen for sure but if a nhl starter plays an average game then 2-3 of those don't go in ... I thought the Canucks looked better then the rangers but the goals scored were soft

if he plays along Kesler, 35-40 points is not out of the question, I know you're not used to having skill on anything but your top line (and this year not even that) but other teams do have solid enough teams and players that make other players play better around them...

When Kassians back from suspension, I'd like to see Sedin/Sedin/Kassian...Burrows/Kesler/Shinkaruk as the top 6...I'd say Booth will be injured by the time Kassian gets back anyways

First off I don't mind the flame bashing so keep it up ... Our crap lineup has no problem scoring without any high end players .... Keeping the puck out will be another story ....Second who on that second line is going to be the playmaker ? 2 guys who can put the puck in isn't going to help a guy who is a goal scorer score goals .... For booths sake I'd like to see him get at least 70 games in so you can see what he really is as a player .

In 2009-10 Kesler had 50 assists...umm what part of that doesnt scream play maker? in fact he has only had 2 years in his entire career in which he had more goals than he had assists...

As amazing as kes is. He is also a very selfish me 1st player. If he can get back to 2010 which is so friggin long ago I forget that year then we will all be super happy. All I know is name one winger that has had an amazing year with kesler? I cant think of any.

Thats what I mean ... Kesler has a great shot ... And wheels .... But he isn't a guy that will set up hunter ... I personally think a kesler with Daniel and hank and burrows together isn't the worst idea ... You can slot in a Kassian or booth or Hansen or if they want a shinkaruk

he's a better play maker than anyone on the entire flames roster...comparing him to a HOF'er is moronic, but I expect nothing less when you're losing an discussion

If he isn't going to get that type of ice-time game in and game out, then he should be sent back to Junior. The last thing we need is to stunt the growth and development of our top prospects. I actually liked that they sent Corrado down, where he can further flourish by playing top minutes and in all situations.

Exactly. I live 45 min from London. Love to see Bo tear it up if he can't play 15 min per night in the show. Hell the Knights probably have more NHL caliber players then both teams in Alberta combined
And I said yesterday that if Frankie can't be top 5 he should go down. I actually believe he is better then Tanev

and somewhere (convalescent home? asylum?) IggysBf just choked on his tube-steak

Fantastic that you are able to check out the Knights. They've certainly had an amazing amount of success in developing players.

I agree with respect to Tanev/Corrado. Although it's not really fair to compare the two, given they have different styles, Corrado certainly seems to have quite a bit more upside.

It's pretty difficult to find a good balance between icing the best lineup and giving the kids good minutes. I just wrote about it myself and posted the lineup I'd roll with to start the season. Definitely not easy to come up with 4 lines that you really like with this roster this year.

If the two "Kids" are going to be in the lineup I would rather not bury them at the bottom and then be afraid to play them. I'm sure your blog will be full of all kinds of analysis, here's what I hope for on day 1:

Sedin/Sedin/Burrows
Booth/Kesler/Shinkaruk
Higgins/Horvat/Hansen - the triple H line eh?
Richardson/Santorelli/Weise

To me that is four lines that can all play

Not really sure about the D, do you go Hamhuis/Bieksa together, or Hamhuis/Garrison? If you go Hamhuis/Bieksa does Garrison go on the 3rd pairing? I'd kind of like to see three balanced pairings that can all play roughly 20 minutes.

Funny, those are the exact forward lines I had before I switched it up, I might have over thought it a bit.
