Has Gill been that good? I've only seen him in that first game against the Leafs and he didn't look great. I'd like to see him get a contract though.

Gill IF signed will fill the role left by our 2nd best player from the past couple years Jody Shelley..

Depending on Emery... If he's average, above average, they make the playoffs easy... If not, I think it'll be a long year for the Flyers.

I like Mez, real good defenseman when healthy, wish Isles would trade for him.
maybe for a pick, so it helps you completely, more roster room and cap flexibility without taking back anything

You remind me of one of your past GMs.

Mason isn't chopped liver, SameOld, If one goaltender is playing below average, the other will be given a fair shot. As far as long years go, I'd expect a long playoff run to be a "long year." Here's hoping that your Leafs play up to expectations as well.

Hall is not slow, and he is perfectly capable of playing a regular 4th line shift.

Id rather have someone else there, don't get me wrong I liked hall. I hope he doesn't get picked up so he can be used when we have injuries and all. I just think that we have better options now.

Like who? Hall played better than Laughton did in the pre-season. Raffl's never played a season on the smaller North American ice and wasn't even in the top league in Sweden. VandeVelde couldn't stick with a bad Edmonton team for three years. Cousins played well, but there's questions about his two way game.

Who else is there? Hall is experienced, wins faceoffs at a 60% clip, is a good PK guy and has decent size and toughness. Oh yeah, he's also cheap against the cap, at $600K. He's exactly what a team tight against the cap wants as it's 4th line center.

Now that the Leafs traded Colbourne for a conditional pick so they could keep Orr and McLaren, I guess I feel a "tiny" bit better about the Flyers waiving a decent 4th liner to keep Rosehill

Couturier, B Schenn, and Talbot supply secondary scoring. Players like Rinaldo, Schenn and Talbot are hitters and grinders. You forgot Lacavalier. This team has plenty of offense. Team defense and responsible play are this team's issues. Not offense.

No mention of Vinny?
