Wonder if he cares that his team hasn't won a Stanley Cup since Gerald Ford was President. - Jsaquella
He very short sighted....wants to win so bad before he dies that he's willing to have a very short view of things....if he were to let our young guys mature and grow....

Isn't that exactly what he's doing by fronting the money for Giroux, Voracek, Read etc?

While to some extent I agree with you, I don't think an owner allows his GM to trade his team's 2 star players for youth if he is only thinking about the now. |

I think he has done a good job the past few years by not breaking up the young core. Lets just hope he keeps all the prospects together. |

They do that moreso now than they did under Clarke. But I also think that carrying an enforcer is Holmgren's call, not Snider's.
Snider wants a tough team, not necessarily an enforcer. |

If they temporarily assign B Schenn to the AHL, it would remove the full 3.110M from the Cap. - MJL
The CapGeek calculator doesn't count bonuses. If I remove Schenn it only reduces 800+K |

Anaheim gets Matthew Perrault from the Caps for a minor leaguer and 4th rounder.
*EDIT: John Mitchell is the minor leaguer...not guy rumored to be coming from Colorado to Philly |

Were do I do that. I see a check box for buried contracts and that's it. |

Hmmm, not sure, used to be able to turn it off...maybe because each year of the new CBA allows a BC it's automatically on now |

I'm pretty sure the $16,022 number doesn't include any bonuses. |

Very probably...I didn't use capgeek's calculator, just looked at how much they were over and subtracted Hall and Gervais on my own. |

Sure it does. Remove Schenn and watch what happens to the bonus column. The Bonus Cushion is in effect. That's why it does that. |

Not sure about that...possible, but they've been using Erat at center, from what I read, and seem eager to have Wilson in the lineup |

I saw that too, just guessing but if he does well in those 9 games he could very well stay.
He was a beast during the OHL playoffs last year. |

London Knights lost today, Stolarz did not play.
Last night
Seattle - 4
Portland - 10
Leier had a goal (wore the "C" last night & has 6 points on the season) |

Actually it doesn't unless your saying that it includes bonuses equalling zero. It shows you that they are 16,002 over the cap with $0 bonuses.

He's played in 2 of the 3 games and in 2 of them the defense has been suspect but as I mentioned should Maatta & Zadorov go back it will get better. But he's played pretty well. |

Hopefully Patterson stunk it up today
Solid year from Stollie and he should be fighting for a starters job on team USA. |
