This.
As for the in-house replacement, let's be honest, it's more likely going to be Berube than Murray. Flyers have no history of re-hashing past coaches, and Murray's tenure ended amidst a very public controversery, as well as leaving a locker room that was allegedly dysfunctional. Not to mention, new Asst. GM Hexy didn't exactly appreciate the way Murray yanked him (and Snow) in and out of the net during the PO's. - Tomahawk
If it's Berube, I have to be honest... I'll completely tune out for a half dozen games or so. I just don't know if I can handle that. He hasn't even coached a bench at any level. |

Hahah hadn't even thought of the Hextall Murray thing. I can just see Hexy calling Murray into his office and say, the Phantoms are 0-2 so far,...tell me why I shouldn't fire you without using the letter E.. go! - Hextall271

He had a couple of short tenures as Phantoms head coach, didn't he?
Sure seems like he's being groomed, a la John Stevens. |

Mez for briere - funmaster18
Briere takes Rosehill's spot in the press box, converts it into day care center. |

I am not holding up the pitchforks calling for Lavy's head yet, although I think these first few months will have plenty of impact on if he stays for the year or not. I still think he is a fantastic coach who really brings the best out of his players, but I think he should have changed his approach when it comes to the system. At least get some guidance from somebody that has a defensive mindset and see if he could make some tweaks... however I think the "overload" system isn't going to make the defense any better. |

Thanks Bill. Good to hear. I didn't see it, but people were talking about it on here.. I was worried for a bit. - Hextall271
it looked bad, he was dazed against the boards for a few seconds and then had the blank blink blink dazed look once he made it back to the bench |

Was about 10 minutes after Rinaldo got tossed for a very similar hit |

Rinaldo's hits always seem to look bad then upon further review they are usually pretty clean. He seems to really care about playing by the rules and not hurting his team. |

I think it's more like the 1st month. If the team plays as it did last year, I don't see why they would expect things to get better with time. |

If he played in the 80s, he'd rarely ever get any PIMs. |

Even in the 90's he'd get very few. Of course each team would have 3 enforcers that would crush him if he ran one of their skill guys like grabo |

I'm pretty sure Samuelsson stepped into the head coaching vacancy short term with the Phantoms not Berube. You could be right though but I just don't remember it. |
