I meant that 75 is low. We should be aiming for 81 wins now. |

Hall, Duby, and Petry with bad games tonight.
Hemsky wasn't good, but he gets a pass for his beauty.
Joensuu was the only Oiler who REALLY had a strong game. The rest were only OK. - MaximumBone
Eakins needs to play Smyth a lot less

Reimer might be available at some point... - As_I_See_It
I hope so! Or at least admit that our 10 year ‘development’ of our prospect goalie FING SUCKED and trade for a starter than isn’t a sieve! Man I hate people that suffer from denial. |

Agreed... It's frustrating seeing him out there. Just give him a BS job with management (like we all know will happen) and be done with it. |

He needs to separate Hall and Hemsky ASAP. In the first period alone, they were -5 in scoring chances for/against. They just don't have chemistry. Also, unless Smid and Petry can start showing well again (like they did 2011-12) then they need to be split up. Maybe roll Belov- Petry and Smid- N. Schultz. Ference- J. Schultz was solid enough tonight. |

And I hate people who overreact to a single game. Go become a Canucks fan if you're gonna keep it up. |

Get Eberle or Yak up with Hall....
It does really suck missing the top 2 centers though... that's just mean.

Yeah its only game 1.
Last year was a similar game with the Oilers pulling it off in the last second if I remember correctly.
But its easy to see Smyth really cant keep up anymore

Well, Hall got exposed, as expected. Arcobello played, as expected.
Short story is WE NEED NHL CENTREMEN TO PLAY FOR OUR NHL TEAM.

Are you insane? Every goalie/player has bad games from time to time... Dubnyk had a sh1tty game, but his stats (playing behind a terrible D these last 3 seasons) speaks for itself. |

JJ- Hall- Yakupov (I wanna see Hall w/ Yakupov again)
Perron- Arcobello- Eberle (they looked solid)
(someone)- Gordon- Hemsky (someone acquired to compliment Gordon)
Gazdic- Acton- Brown
I was happy to see Arco go 53% on the dot so if he can keep it up then that's one problem solved. From there, Hall needs to make smarter plays, but hopefully uniting him with Yakupov and Joensuu who play hard-nosed, straight forward games will help that. Putting Hemsky on a line with grinders is the only way to effectively utilize all the tools in our line-up. He wants and can do everything to carry a line.
We need a trade to push Smytty out IMO, but I doubt that happens.
