I think it's been determined that a few of us REALLY disagree and that none of us are changing our minds so let's look at the positives.

1.) we outshot a team by a fair margin

2.) we maintained a fairly strong defensive presence throughout the game

3.) there was some serious push-back from the Oilers when things got gritty

4.) Joensuu had a great game

5.) Arcobello proved to be at least a serviceable option in filling in for Gagner if he can keep it up

6.) Acton played well in limited minutes

Can we agree on this?

Also, Evander Kane is a douche. I want someone to run him and break his ego.

I believe Halak is available....look I know is Game number one But if Dubnyk is the Oil Number One Goalie then He needs to play like one and tonight He showed he is not,I do hope he prove me wrong but I just don't see Dubnyk as a number one goalie even with the stats he had last year.

Well this was not a good start. Dubie had a bad game and playing hall at center might be a bad idea. I think eberle would have been better choice imo. Giving up leads really needz to stop NOW.

dubnyk earned the starting role last year. He put up respectable numbers, 12th best save % behind possibly the weakest defence in the league. All I am saying is give it a few games. You and a few others only choose to remember the poop games last year and ignore the fact he kept them in a lot of games while being outshot by 20+ shots . I am not 100% convinced dubnyk is the guy, but I am willing to not bash him over the first (frank)ing game of the year, because that is pretty (frank)ing weak.

Where the team is now, we all know if dubnyk is not performing up to par, mact will move him. I dont think he is going to let him drag the team down. BUT, I think he will wait a bit more than 1 game to crucify him.

And yes he had a poopty game tonight. No excuses.
