No they really dont need to stop saying sv% and a weak defence.

Also, ryan miller is a former vezina winner and probably considered the best goalie in the league not too long ago.
Ask him how much he loved, or how well he did last year facing insane amounts of rubber behind one of the worst defences in the league...

Don't get me wrong, save% is a hugely important stat., possibly the most important. But there are several other things to consider, one of which being the 'tender's ability to keep his focus, to shrug off a bad goal, to not get rattled when the rush closes in on him and knocks him over etc. etc. I just don't see Dubnyk's compete level or his concentration level being of NHL caliber. The skill level is there, no doubt. I see Dubnyk as the Tom Gilbert of goaltenders. I would like to be his team captain and kick his ass. He totally deserved the Messier "stare" after last night's game. Totally unacceptable and there are no excuses.

I didn't think it was that bad last night actually, if anything, it was the forwards with turnovers in our zone I noticed more.

Jets only had 28 shots,I think our D was average good.

The ONLY goaltender on this list that is not far and away better than Dubnyk is Reimer, and Reimer looks like he wants to get better...Dubnyk is asleep.

yup,anyways for me Dubnyk should only get max 15 games to show if he really is a number one goalie and specially since he already started giving Christmas Gifts/Goals.

I can't stand watching that station and i absolutely despise Kypreos. I don't know how you have the strength to watch that garbage of a sports channel, aside from when it shows the Oilers games.

The team as a whole was not good in the second half. Agree with you forwards were trying to many pretty plays blind passes, holding on to the puck too long etc. A buddy of mine is a big oilers fans and one of the the things he said is Taylor Hall seems to be a puck hog, I never noticed or thought about what are your guys thoughts?

this season every single game for the Oil is super important specially with the injury's they have, and for that reason Dubnyk needs to stop giving gifts and play like a number one goalie and yes is game number one and blah blah blah and his save % is blah blah blah but less talk/stats and more action/saves for the next games or He can go back on doing tv commercials(btw he doesn't even get it right on commercials )

He like Hemsky do their best work while holding onto the puck. There was one 2-on-1 where Hall could've passed to Smyth, but I'm glad he took the shot.

That and it is worth mentioning that Hall drastically improved his playmaking skills last year. Previous years his goals were greater or equal to assists. Last year 16g and 34a. When you have the skills that Hall does and the linemates he has, he is better holding onto the puck.
