Cups, plural. As in, two of them.

But I'm sure David Clarkson jumping off the bench to fight in an exhibition game was all heart, class, and whatever else you guys want to whitewash it as.

Yes, if you kept reading you would see it was fixed already.

Thanks for being a knob, you're really good at it

Only way this would have been good is if the glass gave way and Roy fell flat on his face.

If they want to remove fighting from the game, shouldn't they start with the coaches?
I would like to see tag team matches with goalies, and coaches. That would be awesome. Calling WWE........

Now, to clarify, are you typing this in your David Clarkson jammies?

Players getting over-emotional is one thing. They play the game.

Coaches need to lead by example and set the tone for their team.

This is the 1st game of his pro coaching career and he loses it like a toddler in Toys R Us? Roy needs to grow up.

But he's an egomaniac and craves the spotlight. The absolute worst coach for a young team like Colorado.

Roy should be getting a call for a suspension today. Total jackass. The NHL shouldn't tolerate that behavior.

Exactly. If you're an Avs fan and think Roy's behavior was positive I feel sorry for you.

This He had the last change as well so he was already being a d!ck when he sent his enforcers out and then he still decided it was a smart idea to go over the edge.

so after having ducks taking runs at his offensive players constantly in the 3rd period with the game out of hand, with their goons alreayd on the ice, Roy is in the wrong for continuing to match lines all night and put his fouth line as well?

Ask Ron Rolston about putting certain players on the ice...
Its not the line matching its the drama on the bench.

Roy went overboard but its not like he wasnt provoked, watch the video again, the whole time Perry is leaning over the bench barking at the Avs and Roy, then decided to squirt water at him.

Perry was snapping his stick on the bench, frustrated that he couldnt solve Varly all night, and right before this and the MacKinnon knee, Getzlaf decides to get greasy and fight downie during a line change with the score being 6-0.

The Ducks are not innocent and classy in this as well. It goes both ways

Stuff like banging your stick (Perry) and fighting (Getzlaf ) happen every night. Roy went off the deep end in his first game. If this is the it time all season he does it, then it's kinda fun. If he does this every time he thinks someone took a run at one of his players then it will get old fast.

I dont see it being a nightly thing, im sure it will be curbed, its not like in Juniors when he was the coach, gm, and owner of the franchise getting away with it. He still has bosses to answer to.

Yes you are right the Stick snapping and fighting are goign to happen when games get out of control, but if that partition didnt move, it was just two coaches yelling at eachother. Bc the thing moved its a big ordeal.

Its not like he had a stick in his hand smacking the glass at the ducks.

many years ago, they figured how to put a man on the moon. Now if they can figure out how to gather all the stupid people in this world and send them to the moon, that would be great.

you do remember who your coach is now, wait for the first question asking temper tantrum with the vancouver media.

Guys like Roy and Torts are good for the game, they will go overboard from time to time, but you need personalities in this league.

I don't agree with Torts BS either. These hot heads need to get their poop in a pile. And you can't seriously think that Roy actions were justified?

To me he just looked like a guy who has little control over himself. But that is Roy, to be expected I guess.

He already set a tone by sending his forth line out yes nothing wrong with matching lines. Both team trying to send a message for the season and knowing the out come both are at fault. If I'm a coach I'm not gonna tell my players to let up on their offensive players how stupid is that? If one of my players takes it to far on one of the opposing teams offensive players he either gets a penalty or he gets the bench to cool down a bit. Losing your sh!t on the opposing teams players and having a temper tantrum swearing pushing over the glass because the ref's don't make a call makes him at fault he took it to far. My 3 year old does that I don't let him get away with it. The ref's were letting the players play and they let it get out of hand yes but the players play and coaches coach. Bottom line Roy should be able to control his $hit.

sure he could have handled that better, and by no means do I want to see this an a nightly thing, but its not like he didnt get a call and then blew up over it, there was a lot of crap that happened bw the benches in a 3 minute span that really amped up the anger level.

Like I mentioned earlier, the ducks players are just as guilty in setting off this situation as anyone else. Perry is suppose to be a role model player, not a strick breaking, leaning over the glass yapping at the Avs bench and Roy.

If the glass didnt move like mentioned, its a non issue.

The difference I see between the two is venting at opposing players. Peter Laviolette lost his $hit on the opposing teams player in the past as well and it shouldn't happen. I don't agree with Torts BS either but with Torts one has to look at the positives VS the negatives. He does most of his yelling at the refs and the media. I really don't have a problem with that. You can't let the refs control the game you have to work them. I don't think Roy is off to a good start there.
