Nic Cage at his best!

Well, I feel a little better. Giving up two goals on 16 shots gave me cause for worry.

- faustus1500

That really was his best. Still my favorite Coen brothers movie. For Cage I think leaving Las vegas and wild at heart were 2 and 3

Ancient. Think he does a decent job with college football. Was really hoping NU could pull off an upset this evening.
- HawkintheD

NU still has little to no defense. They had virtually zero chance of winning.

But considering NU entire team will graduate and half of the OSU squad can't read...they did well.

That is the worst part: the 1st month is a Very favorable schedule. A lot of homes games and against some of the lower teams in East. Both Florida clubs, buffalo, carolina, Islanders. These are points we should be putting in the bank before the schedule gets tougher with those road trips
- tomcat24

The worst part is that TB had - and the Hawks gave up - NOTHING until the fatal 2 minutes in the third, and very little after.

I hate Ohio State: a proven dirty program with an enabler for a coach.

My $ is on them gunning for Hossa's back
- Q...argh

All 4 of the big guns will be abused in this one. I just wonder why the refs let them get away with all that cheap stuff. Anyone can see their gameplan

I don't think the boys have played as well as we would have hoped over the first two games. But the good news is they got 3 out of 4 points and there are 82 games left before the playoffs when the games really matter. I'm sure the boys aren't overly please either and they tend to respond will to adversity.

The PK will get better and Crawford will come around.

I heard that Raanta was hurt today. Does anyone have any info?

What's scary is that Kruger worked with him and was singing his praises and saying he was going to listen to everything he tells him. I doubt he told him to go 3 for 11.

John Goodman and William Forsythe were great in Raising AZ. Agree; still my favorite Coen bros movie.

Right on. I think a 3rd goal would have put it away but they let them hang in there. Just like last regular season. Everyone was saying Crawford is going to let in 2 no matter what. He did get a few shutouts but mainly it was true

I've given up on college football. Didn't watch a snap of the NU game. Any info I pick up is accidental via radio ect. It's hard to get away from the chatter.

I posted earlier. Lower body injury. That's all I know.

Let's see if the Hogs recall Carruth or sign a back up goalie to a PTO for tomorrow night's game.

They were great. Always liked when they robbed that bank. I don't like car chases and stuff like that, but the whole scene when Cage stole those diapers and the ensuing cop chase was great

Exactly. There's lots of focus on the negatives (PK and Crawford) but there are some guys who are stepping up big time, namely Saad, Kane and Hjalmarsson.

For most of the game, I was wondering if Tampa had sent their AHL affiliate. They looked completely outclassed. It seemed the Hawks missed at least four open goals from where I was sitting. Tough loss.

I was talking to the dude next to me at the UC between the second and third and mentioned that I've never seen a live NHL game that ended in regulation. Maybe I should have left after two.

Just had a bad feeling about the game given how badly the Hawks were dominating and still had a close game.

The PK is a joke and needs to be cleaned up.

Yeah that was one of the classic jokes of the movie. I like later when the old guy stops counting when they come back to get the baby. you want us to freeze or get on the ground? Lol

I thought the played well. First goal on Crow was iffy. the second was a snipe. Crow is moving to follow the puck as it goes into the corner, hits a stick right into the wheelhouse and bang in the net. That is a goal 8 times out of ten. If they play like they did tonight, they will be fine.
