Since there's lots of Avs talk, I'm going to go ahead and let it be known that I'm starting the Avalanche hate bandwagon. Whoever compared Roy to AV couldn't be more spot on, those fat-faced hypocrites aren't going to lead a team anywhere. I hope the Hawks knock them out of the playoffs for the next ten years. Steve Downie is such a tool, used to love Landeskog, don't anymore. If anyone wants to join me let me know, plenty of room - rollpards19
I loved where this team was headed....till they made Roy the coach. He's gonna try and steal the show there, and most likely will derail the Avs train with his own self-destructing Bull$hit. I jus dont like the guy. And aside from him, if i ever get a lil concerned about the Avs and their future potential, all i gotta do is look at their defense and laugh... |

Nice article and on the question about LeBlanc....
I don't think he has fallen out of favor. He was signed for one year and is fresh out of college on arguably the best team in the NHL.
I think he will be closely monitored and could be resigned if Mgt. likes his progression and I wouldn't rule out seeing him later this season in Chicago.
As far as Danault....I would think he should play at center but then again I thought playing Hayes at center was a waste last season. So it will be interesting to see how Danault is dealt with as I think he will be a NHL player either way.

He does seem to be the odd man out. Especially because he is so great as a 2-way shutdown guy that is so valuable to teams, and they have him playing wing. I think he can bring back a good return. They definitely need D you are right - tomcat24
The last 6 cups winners have either had at least one Selke caliber center or the two best offensive centers in the world, why Colorado doesn't let ROR develop at center is beyond me. But it's also good because I wish them nothing but losing |

Evander Kane is really, really good. He's like Bickell but fast and good. - rollpards19
As many know I have liked him for awhile....He could be a stud for years. |

No Groucho on those: he made You Bet Your Life a terrifically funny show - the quiz part was just an excuse for his ad-libs. - StLBravesFan
I was going along the lines of old time game or quiz shows. |

I find it even funnier that the Flyers were paying him 2 million to be "good in the room"...in the minors last season. |

Meh. (frank) the Flyers. Hawks paid Huet 5 mil to leave the continent.
Edit: pretty much most teams paid guys to go away. |

They have an awesome group of centers and did not want MacKinnon moved to wing as a rookie. O'Reilly is such a hard worker that was their choice. I see the reasoning.
If they trade Stastny for D he will move back. Stastny looks slow this year - maybe that will wreck any plans to trade him (Stastny) and they will move OReilly. That forward group cannot stay together if they need a quality D man in trade. If Sakic can pull it off - adding D for picks or free agents then look out. |

Walker must have really lost it then. The Flyers had nothing on D last year. |

Always reminds me of this scene from Moneyball:

I had heard that they couldn't bring him up even if they wanted to, due to how f**ked their cap situation was/is/will be. |

Wow - Q really likes Kostka eh? He was a great signing and could pay off for exactly this reason, giving Rozsival some time off. I just didn't think it'd be after game#1. - TyCamScore
May as well...
To keep 8 dman coming out of camp with the way the schedule lays out this month was curious.
So Q had a script in mind and it may as well start now. |

I'm just worried about the effect playing Musical Partners will have on Leddy.
Just scored a seat for tonight. Talk to all y'all in the morning. |

Glad to see Kostka in tonight interested to see how he fairs on the PP as well as Ben Smith being in tonight...Craw in goal according to Tracy Myers on Twitter...
Concur with the Avs comments certainly deep at center - be interesting to see who they move for D. Thought Patty was a little over the line there in the opener can't wait to see what happens when they lose to the Hawks...
should be interesting up here in Evanston tonight with all of the rain and all of the OSU fans everywhere... |

As it should on defense here, but that ratio will change some when Kane and Toews re-up.
