last night if you sneezed on a guy they called a penalty. today there is so much interference, holding and hooking going on and nothing called. its maddening. I don't want last night but you have to find the middle ground here. I know officiating is a hard job but why does it seem like they suck in every sport>? |

I am a big fan of shutdown D, but the current group for the Flyers is laughable.
They cant win a race to a puck ever. |

Honestly, are the Flyers the worst team in the league? I'd have to say yes. Can't think of one worse. |

In a sick, sick way I hope they do bring in a guy like Murray.
So I can watch players like BSchenn, Simmonds and Hartnell try to stickhandle and race up the ice more, to try and score off the transition game. |

Actually, a guy like Murray coaches the team he has. When he had Pavel Bure, he allowed his team to be a bit of a run and shoot team, when he was in Los Angeles, he made them a better defensive team.
Not sure I see a problem with hiring a coach like that. |

Deep breaths everyone. It's a back to back and yeah we look asleep. There are some good things out there. Once again Vinny looks good, and i think G is gonna get pissed soon. I think Hartnell should come off the first line. And goal aside Mason looks sharp. The transition still looks horrendous and I'd cringe at the turnover number... But they will figure this out. The only question is when. |

If they lose they game in the fashion they lost yesterday and move to 1-10 so far this year I think Lava is canned. I don't see a need to keep him after today. It's not about giving him a chance. It's about giving an interim coach a chance to turn around this season. I don't want to wait until we are 2-12. Make the move now before the black hole gets bigger. I'd also fire Homer at the same time. His decision to keep the coach and put together this abomination. Can him and put Hexy in charge and let him start tinkering with the team. To wait is stupid. |

Last night, we were playing the Habs in MTL on Hockey Night in Canada.
There's your answer. |

My problems exist with Laviolette because of his handling of the team, his inability or unwillingness to adjust to better fit his players and his chronic inability to have the team ready at the opening faceoff.
Outside of, incorrectly by the way, saying Murray is a strict defense only coach, why is it that you dislike him?
FWIW, Murray isn't my first choice. I'd much rather Guy Boucher or Willie Desjardins, if they were interested/available. |

Honestly Homer gets more time from me than Lavy because I am not convinced the talent isn't there and just being misused. And I get bringing Lavy back based on all of the circumstances to last year. BUT if they don't right this ship soon and adjust to the talent they have, lavy has to go as much as I like him. if they miss the playoffs come season end then I can see possibly moving on from Homer. just my 2 cents |

Say what you will, but this team needs a Steve Downie, Boulerice, Gauthier or Carcillo right now.
Rinaldo needs to step up, and infuse some energy.

Their lack of speed absolutely matters, because half of them have to play back -- never pinch -- because they absolutely can't get caught.
Man. This is...wow. I...wow.

i hope that's the issue but i honestly have my doubts. this just seems like a bad team (and this isn't a lavy defense). obviously it's early and they have time to turn it around, but wtf. any minute now would be great, guys |
