possibly the softest performance we've seen under Therrien. and we've seen some softness. the Flames threw their weight around on the first few shifts and that was it. the Habs have absolutely no interest in that kind of game and you're seeing the result. look at the second goal if you can. Tinordi takes a pass with his back to the forechecker. he cannot even fathom the idea of anyone making physical contact. gets steamrolled and the Flames score an easy goal.

i am in jaw-dropping awe of him. not only is he slow, soft and weak, he doesn't even look like he's trying or like he's there mentally. i'd say he deserves a benching but i don't think it matters tonight.

what the (frank) is he supposed to do on both goals, one of a rebound and the other is a turn over next to the net with a guy alone. Don't blame him on both goals...blame the D coverage.

goaltending has nothing to do with this. McDonald faced 12 shots and didn't have to make a single difficult save. Calgary blocked everything on the PP with ease. see if Therrien can get this team to up its intensity in the second but down 2-0 on the road it's likely too late.

i don't think it's up to MT to inspire them. i think 2-0 to Calgary should be inspiring enough. but it's certainly his job to make an adjustment somewhere. line combos, identifying a weak link on the Calgary D, forwards supporting the defence more, something...
