Gov. Rick Scott finished his first day Monday on a job-luring trip in Pennsylvania by announcing expansion of a convenience store chain in Florida.

Wawa, the convenience-store chain with a cult-like following in the Mid Atlantic, is expanding into the Fort Myers market, with three new stores slated to open in April, and plans for additional stores in Broward and Palm Beach counties next year, Scott’s office announced Monday.

Wawa opened its first Florida store in Orlando in 2012 and now has 61 stores in the state.
