About OVER a month ago, I was able to secure tickets to any game of my choosing from a gracious supplier of ours. I selected Feb 3rd.

Fast forward a few weeks, we have it figured out that my mom would watch s3tp and s4tp. Originally we'd drop them off at like 4 to give us a little time to get to the game at 7. But then we worked it out that we'd drop them off at 2 to give us time to grab a bite to eat at chickie n petes by the wells fargo. This is very exciting!

So we are on the road by 2:30ish. Mrs s2tp's weak bladder succumbs and we stop at the Valley Forge rest stop (like 40 mins away from wells fargo). She gets out to pee so I decide to check twitter just to pass time by.

Well right at the top of twitter is a post that says "IN CASE YOU MISSED IT" and it said something like Patrick scores with a couple seconds left in the 3rd period, and the post was FOUR MINUTES AGO. And I sit there thinking, "wait a minute, the last time they played was Thursday". Then my eyes were bigger than crims, I grab the envelope that had the tickets in them, ripped it open and the game said 1pm. It was 3:46 pm.

My stomach sank, knees weak my palms were sweaty.

Mrs. s2tp comes back. I'm silent with my head in my hands. She's like "whats wrong?! are the kids ok?!?"

"the game was at 1....we missed the (frank)ing game"

So we decided to grab a bite to eat at the yard house at the king of prussia mall (which both our meals were delicious) and then went to Phoenixville and visited my sister and went to 2 bars and played ping pong at one.

Then we went to our hotel near the wells fargo and angerly (frank)ed the mrs.

also, if it makes you feel better i once bought audioslave tickets so far in advance that i ended up thinking the show was in july but it was in june.

I just don't know what I was thinking. I knew what ever game I was picking I would have wanted it to be a Saturday 7pm game so we could get a night out.
