Winning games when they mattered would have been a start. - PLindbergh31
Winning three more games would have made them a playoff team, although I realize that's not as easy as it sounds |

Just watched Hertl's 4 goal night last night, and wow that kid is amazing. He kinda just came out of nowhere for me, really had no idea who he was before this. - JAKEw1234
After Cheechoo and Setoguchi, I would be so skeptical if I were a Sharks fan right now. |

22Schenn better pick it up. Only 4 games, but he hasn't played well at all. His minutes thus far indicate he's being used as the 6th d-man. - PLindbergh31
He hasn't played well yet but I do think the Flyers PP time has also contributed to his less ice time |

Don't get me going.... - PLindbergh31
think about it though. we heard A LOT about how important it is. not to tank. blah, blah, blah. it's possible none of those top 5ers will ever amount to being an impact player in this league, and for all we know, the flyers STILL might have selected Morin even at #5, and Morin could turn into a hell of a player. we just don't know yet. that said - i'll take the option of top 5 over #12 every day of the week and 8 times on (frank)ing sunday. they should gone in the poopter last year, instead rallying for meaningless moral victories at the worst possible time. it's like they do everything exactly wrong on purpose. |

True... but they have been on the PK a fair amount as well. In Montreal and Carolina. |

To help me channel my anger I rationalize it by saying they would have picked Morin over Nurse or Risto. That would have made me start breaking things. |

by continuing to play exactly as they had done the entire year prior to the end of the year streak when lavi finally simplified things due to the overwhelming number of injuries. they changed the way they played, with lesser talent, and won. |

Well, say they had sucked, and along with that, assume Mason hadn't played well. Say that further erodes his confidence and he has issues rebounding this year. His play was a big part of the success they had late, down the stretch.
It happened, and unfortunately it didn't end up being good for a carryover. I'm not going to complain too much about it, just hope that they're on the right track now, under Berube. |

I agree.. said it then and still feel that way now..
I watched that half of a season (full season thanks to the lockout) and it was horrible.. then the last two weeks they decide to show up, and blow us out of a top pick. |

if they didnt change a thing and somehow won those last few games you would still be complaining that they didnt tank properly |

Except for the fact that the guy was standing there smirking at him as Berube made the quip and was making direct eye contact. That's when Berube added the "dumb question... get lost!" The reporter then called additional attention to himself by leaving the room saying "Excuse me, I'm getting lost." in stage whisper tone. - bmeltzer
Craig should have never lowered himself to the reporter's level. He made his point to the reporter and the crowd, who laughed, that the question was ridiculous. The last comment made him sound like a minor league coach.
Though when I first saw it, I did laugh as well. |

not me. there's no "proper way to tank". they weren't going to make it. they should gotten full value out of that clown show of a season and didn't. |

i still dont get what you wanted them to do at the end of last season?
they friggin dressed an entire lineup of AHL defenseman - Crimsoninja
Start bryz instead of mason would have been a good start |
