No one on the Flyers has the flaw where they could potentially and unpredictably balloon up to 300 lbs, do they? - johndewar

He's not close to 300 lbs. Not even after his Mom's cooking last year.

If I move to florida, it will be to North Eastern Side in St Augustine. I loved the area. Great history. Great food. Not too much tourism, but enough to boost the local economy, and not Orlando type of tourists or Maimi type of tourists... More higher class tourists. - youarewrong

It's pure hypocrisy.
They acknowledge players on the Flyers have strengths and flaws, and accept both. But a player on another team excels at some things but also comes with flaws -- DON'T WANT. - bradleyc4
The flaws that are unacceptable are his work ethic, and his fitness level. That is something the player can control. A player can't control having weaknesses in his game such as lack of size, or lacks hands offensively. Byfuglien is 100% responsible for his lack of discipline as a professional athlete. |

People questioned Scott Hartnell's conditioning last year... - youarewrong
And rightfully so -- if he wasn't in good condition, and he has admitted to not being in top shape -- then he let himself, his organization and his teammates down.
I don't make the leap of Hartnell letting me down; I'm just a guy who watches the games and posts about hockey. But Hartnell absolutely owed more to his employer and his teammates, and any/every bit of criticism he might get about this issue is, to my mind, deserved.

Debateable. I would say St.Augustine, Gettysburg, New Orleans, and Savannah GA are all about even.
Though we did have a ghostly visitor while we were in St Augustine. But I have had several in Gettsyburg. |

He's good on the PK. That's about it.
I wouldn't pay $3.5 million for a 3rd pairing PKer who can't move. But it's clear I'm in the minority here. - bradleyc4
That might be your opinion. But that is simply not the case. |

Yes, the Flyers are giving him 2nd pair minutes. I disagree with that usage. |

True, but my point is, even though they criticised him, he was able to come into camp in shape. He turned it around. |

right. And a lot of us feel that Talbot is a better 4th line player then 3rd line player, and the point was that we would be trading Read. So that would make 2 3rd line players. Try and keep up. - youarewrong
You may feel that Talbot is better as a 4th line player. But it's obvious that Talbot is a solid 3rd line Winger. Trading one forward off the roster, leaves a deficit of one player needed to replace. Simple math. |

Actually, people are not always in 100% control of their emotions. It is very possible that discipline issues could be a result of anger management or similar problem. |

Emotions could play a part in that, and so could getting out of routine during a work stoppage.... cough hartnell cough. |

You did. I didn't say blocked shots are bad, nor have I ever. I said if you're leading the league in blocked shots, it's an issue. It means the opposition has the puck a lot more than your team, when you're on the ice. That's not a good thing. |

Let's also take a poll on if they feel the Flyers need a defenseman. Looking to improve the team doesn'tmake trading one player of the roster, add up to having to replace 2 players. |
