Buffalo Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta will have an in-person hearing with NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan following a hit to the head on Blue Jackets defenceman Jack Johnson on Thursday night.

Since Kaleta has been offered an in-person hearing, he could be suspended for five games or longer.

Kaleta hit Johnson near the boards in the Buffalo zone in the first period of Thursday night's game. No penalty was assessed for the hit, but Kaleta did receive a fighting major for engaging with Columbus forward Jared Boll after the check.

The team looks lost and just not inspired. Is that on the coach or is it on the players?

Rolston, IMO is not fit to be a coach at this level yet.

And to me that is another failure by the GM.

Kind of hard to see where he hits him on that angle. Its a fast play and bad angle. If he does get suspended, this place is going to turn into a S*** show.

i know Grigo put up big numbers in Juniors last year but if Drouin isnt too good to go back...

thats why it kills me when they say oh grigorenko is on the 4th line what can he do well in all honestly flynn showed a lil hustle on that line last ngiht if girgo did that maybe id think about moving him up. Girgensons isnt the most skilled but he has some hustle in him.
