I think he's intimidated by the play in the NHL. He doesn't like getting his nose dirty in the corners and along the boards. I also think his confidence took a big hit once he realized that he just can't score the way he did in the Q.
He's either got to play through it or he'll be a bust. - Pairo11

I watched him play a few games in the Q and ill say in both games he did about 3-5 plays that would never ever in a million years work at the nhl level. I know ingrained in my mind is this kinds loop in the circle are where hed get kill everytime |

The problem with Myers is his contract. Plain and simple. At that money he has to be an All-world level player and he's not even in consideration for the Olympics and wouldn't make on All-star game if we had one. - Buffalo-Sabres
The problem with Myers is he's not a smart hockey player. I also question whether he is an intelligent person. which I suppose could translate onto the ice.
Have you heard this guy's interviews?
Yikes. |

u guys are just down on your team cuz the team is a horrible state right now.
but, it does drain on players to be in a losing organization for a long period of time. |

It's not size, it's attitude. Myers is closer to winning the Lady Byng than he is to punching a dude who is up all in the crease. - sambarugh

I hate to talk about someone I don't really know but, honestly, he sounds like a big, stuck-up douche.
I worked in the press box for a bunch of games 2 years ago as a blogger for one of the Sabres sites, and on my way one night (we entered through the security entrance on the side of the arena), I held the door open for Myers (he was injured at the time). There was no thank-you, no nod of acknowledgement, no hint of appreciation - what you and I might call COMMON (FRANK)ING COURTESY - from him whatsoever.
I thought to myself, "what a d!ck".
Now, with that being said, would one experience like that sway my opinion, either way, of someone? Probably not, because, who knows? He was injured. Maybe he was cranky that he wasn't on the ice.
But then I see him in interviews, and he just seems like a total douchebag.
I don't know. Maybe it's just me... |

Or he was just a 21 year old millionaire. I dont know man. I have heard how Kaleta is a real POS off the ice and I have heard he's the nicest guy in the world. Maybe they are like all of us and have good days and bad days? |

Derek Roy said to (my cousins step brother) that if your gonna come out with us you have to dress better basically you need 100 buttons downs etc. Kaleta bought him a whole new wardrobe |

If I say it once, I'll say it a million times, Grigorenko is being devoured whole by that idiotic CHL transfer agreement.
He's clearly not ready for regular NHL action but junior hockey is a waste for him too. - Ryan_Wilson
Maybe discuss a 1yr deal in the KHL? He wants to play in the NHL so I wouldnt be to worried about him staying. |

i hate to hear stuff like that. it really seems like, especially with scorers, either theyve got it or they dont. we arent gonna win much this year, looks like we arent gonna score much either, not a super combination for an on ice product. for me, grigorenko is just about the only reason to watch, i want this kid to be a stud at center so we can deal with the other holes on the roster. |

Can't help but wonder where Grigorenko would be now if he had been able to spend a year in the AHL the way Girgensons did.
Can they send him there next year?
sabres over jackets 4-2: Myers, Foligno, Vanek and STAFFORD with the goals
Edit: side note, if half of what I'm reading about this Possler kid is true than we're in for a treat when he finally goes to North America. - Sabresfan-365
I love how we got him in the 5th round, got his 8th goal today. |
