Teams with fast defenseman such as Chicago play 5 men to a zone. Playing that way has zero to do with how fast your defenseman are. It's about puck support, and playing as a team.

He has 100% done enough to remove the "dumb goon" tag. He hasn't taken "penalty after penalty" for the last calendar year or more.

I like Rinaldo a lot and respect him for working hard with, literally, the NHL, to give himself a whole new reputation.

Dumb, brainless penalties happen to anyone and I'm willing to give Rinaldo a free pass here, no matter the sting of the result.

And then a lack of discipline, and they go into the 3rd down a goal. And make no mistake about it, Phoenix is going to clamp it down in the 3rd. It's going to be a challenge to even it up.
So much of the bad things that have happened to the Flyers have been self inflicted wounds.
