This franchise couldn't be further away from winning a Stanley Cup, if the games were being played on Jupiter. |

Hi all,
First post on HockeyBuzz, just started reading it a few months ago, and I figured I'd throw in my two cents. Maybe being drunk and angry isn't the best way to make a first post, but let's see where it goes.
I'll start with the acknowledgement that this is the worst offense I've ever seen in my life and now move on to two specific players.
One, Simmonds. This dude has a complete inability to control the puck and because of one fluke year in 2011 we're being told he's a top 6 forward. He's a 3rd liner at best and he definitely needs to be taken off the PP.
Two, Coburn. I know it seems like an odd choice, but I've seen no intensity from this guy in 3 years. I would've definitely taken the 2nd round pick Edmonton offered.
Last, Jay Rosehill is my favorite player. - EducatedOpinion
Yep, your drunk Seriously you are right about Simmonds and Coburn. Rosehill can be you favourite dunce but that is your choice. Too bad Connor McDavid is not in the 2014 draft, then again maybe this will go one for two years |

Simmonds scored 28 goals in 11/12 along with 11 PP goals. Which was one less then what Stamkos scored that year. He scored 15 goals last year in a shortened Season. Which prorates to 27 goals in an 82 game Season. Along with 6 PP goals. His numbers say that he's a top 6 Winger in this League. I agree that he's not getting it done offensively to this point. But neither are a lot of players.

Typical panaccio. "2 of them in leadership group".
I just picture him and his squeaky voice asking them to talk, and then him moping out of the locker room. |

Me too and the way they are playing it will be another 5 before one of them gets lucky. I think Lava blew out Voracek's confidence starting him on the third line and then losing his first unit pp postition to Streit. Those were wrong moves by Lava. It was those kind of dumb calls by Lava that has lost us Bobrovsky and has slowed the development of Schenn and Couter. |

With how many of these leadership meetings they have needed to have over the last few years, and how many times Lava has to call a timeout just to wake them up...
Something is fishy here. |

I've got to imagine Akeson and/or Raffl are the call ups. Newbury will be in Rinaldo for sure. |

The Rosehill comment was just to ruffle feathers based on the comments I've read the last few weeks.
As for MJL, I get what you're saying with his stats, but I'm going to hazard a guess that 80% or more of those goals are from him just banging in pucks in front of the net. Which is a good thing to have, but it doesn't mean that this is a guy who should ever handle the puck when we're trying to work our way up the ice. |

Emotion, hustle, energy. This is all a cop out
They are playing with plenty of energy, hustle, heart
They plain suck. The pieces don't fit. They are slow on the back end which is a no no in this league anymore. There are too many specialists on this team. Not enough players with a full toolbox. They are predictable in many ways.
Stating to think there is just no way out |

When Rosehill tee'd up the howitzer in the slot in that third period, I thought it was ticketed top shelf. Rang it off the post. It happens. |
