Nope..not a single person can realistically say anything about Morin for another 2-3 years minimum. If the Flyers wouldn't have won those all important 4 games at the end of last year they had a great chance at a top 5 pic but they didn't so I am not sure how anyone can judge him yet.

The Flyers problem on D, IMHO, is not the lack of a #1 guy, but rather the lack of at least a 1A/2 guy to be the anchor.

Timonen at this point is a 3/4 at best
Coburn is a 3/4
Streit is a 4/5 offensive specialist
Mez is a 3/4 at best
Grossmann is a 3/4 at best and
Schenn is a 3/4 at best

They have more than enough to fill spots 3-7, its 1 & 2 that are the problem.

Yeah, even a bad deal w/ Carle would have helped them to steer clear of the mistake of signing Streit.

I've been among the most vociferous critics of the Streit signing on here, but even I'm shocked at just how absolutely useless he is at ES after watching him for 5-games. He makes Bruno Gervais look like Denis Potvin in the d-zone.

Stop picking on Streit, the last time I checked the other top 5 dmen were struggling worse that Streit. Gusty should be in for Meszaros for starters and see where it goes. Kimmo, Schenn and Messy have been terrible so far. That being said the only bright spot has been Couter and Mason.

Yea I remember when Lavy first came he held players accountable. I don't know why that stopped. Those practices where he worked them after a bad game, that's what these players need right now
