How does Giroux, Voracek and Couturier for E. Staal, Semin, Skinner and Khohklachev sound. This offer has been made to me in my keeper league. I am tempted to bail on my flyers. This is year 34 of a keeper league so to us this is serious stuff, lol.
The key for me would be Skinner over Couts and a good prospect in Khohklachev. Giroux and Voracek fairly equal points wise for Staal and Semin. I am not sold on Voracek because he just looks uninspired so far this year. What do you guys think? |

I don't get involved in the fantasy leagues but G and Jake V are slow starters, I think they are going to pick it up. |

Yea I remember when Lavy first came he held players accountable. I don't know why that stopped. Those practices where he worked them after a bad game, that's what these players need right now - xShoot4WarAmpsx
They had nobody to step up and take their place when they should have been benched.
Their farm is barren thanks to too many non-productive drafts, the cap is capped, thanks to questionable signings that we'll be saddled with for years, and too many buy high, sell low trades.

That is true and I love my flyers but nobody hates losing as bad as me, especially when I know they can do so much better. I also have B. Schenn, Vinny, Emery and Streit and as mention Giroux, Voracek and Couturier. My starting team has 7 flyers out of 15 forward, 6 dmen and 2 goalies and that is why I am sitting in the unfamiliar spot know as the basement right now. If I did the trade for the Canes players I think Skinner could win the trade for me. |

Homer would probably pause and say something like that's a fair offer but will you give me Rundblad instead, lol
Time for Hextall to clean house, the Homer/Lava era is over. |

Tough call.
Out of all their forwards Jake and G are the only two that can play a puck possession game, carry it up ice. Yandle does that extremely well too, but is below average defensively. They are giving up something they need (a puck possession top line winger) in the deal for another huge need.
Me being be an orange tinted homer, I will say keep Jake, and play Gusty and give him a role as an offensive defenseman.

If Skinner can stay healthy, that would be my big concern. |

That makes a lot of sense, I forgot to mention I have Gusty on my farm team and he needs an opportunity to play and show what he can do. I still say I am not sold on Voracek because he needs to be more motivated on his own. He is playing like he is pouting over starting the season on third line and losing top pp point time to Streit. That would do it so really can't blame him. He earned those positions and they got kicked in the teeth so really it all comes back to management. Hopefully they right this problem going forward and get this team united. |

Who ever really knows?
Initial report is that they'll be out a week. MRI's are scheduled.

I know that is a huge concern for the little guy. His skill is off the charts though.
My heart is in Philly and it is costing me. I traded Parenteau for Vinny after the signing and did it only becaue Vinny was now a flyer. I was concerned about his injury plagued seasons and knew PA Parenteau is solid. I am already regretting trading PA.
I have other offers coming in now that I have put the word out, just got an offer of Sequin and Barkov for Giroux and Voracek. Very tempting. |

We have 3 games in the next week and then off for a week. 3 games wouldn't be a huge deal long term. |

Anybody see what Edwards said? Just watching the free preview of B's vs. Jackets and during the intro's Edwards had this douchy grin he always has and you could just tell he couldn't wait for the perfect opportunity to take a shot at the Flyers/Bryz with the "humongous big" comment when talking about Bob.

i hear ya man, i honestly don't know what i'd think of it. i'd probably say yes though (reluctantly)
i have a feeling though that if the flyers make that kind of a deal it's gonna be the schenns that go (not saying they'd fetch yandle). just kind of a hunch |

My take is if the doctors guess right, it'll be about a week. If the MRI's show something different, probably longer. |

really high on jake or just wary of yandle's offense-heavy game? |

Team struggling with offense and they call up these two guys? A grinder, and a speed guy.
Surprised Akeson or Straka didn't get a call for some creativity. |

I am a fan of Akeson. I agree with your statement, get some skill guys up to get something going. Hopefully these two can show something tonight |
