Slight tugs don't get called in OT. If he had connected with RNH's head I could see the possibility, but the tug was microscopic. - djamon
I would agree with you if this was the playoffs but its early in the regular season where the reffing is tighter than it is at the end of the season. This play has been called a penalty many times before. |

Which goalie could the Oil realistically get that would fit the bill without sacrificing too much? Would it be someone that might get run out of town (like Miller)? Or is it some dark horse that no one's been considering? - nayefj
I'd want someone proven or someone with a tonne of upside... Not sure what we'd get, but I'd offer up our 2014 1st pick, our 2014 2nd round pick, a d-man not named Nurse, J. Schultz (and possibly Klefbom), and see what response I'd get. |

You have not watched him since last year have you he's bigger and thronging the body around this year - Oilers42
the only place he 'thronged' his body was to the ice. |

Not a serious offer...
Most evidence points towards that 30 goal season was an anomaly. - david22
Reimer - Kule not for his goals and Gardiner would be close to fair for 1 of your 20 franchise players |

RNH did a nice job of making it look like it was his head. Gotta give him that. Until you see on the replay it was the middle of his back. - djamon
tried to draw a penalty...costly dive.

I would be on the same page as u. Say u want ebs or yak. Gernat and musil or marincin
What goalie would u go after? - Killbot460
Good question... I'd have no idea. It all depended on what the other GMs presented to us after we gave them an offer of something like our 2014 1st pick, our 2014 2nd round pick, and a d-man not named Nurse, Schultz (and possibly Klefbom). |

Sign Bryz to a small contract, not like he needs lots of money. Philly already paid him enuff for 10 life times |

I think I'm the only that believe that the Nuge play was not a penalty,it was just Nuge trying to do some magic trying to win the game, the game was not decide it on that play it was easy decide it by the oil Goalie, plain and simple. |

Not really. Kulimens points total was inclining since he started and peaked at 30 goals. Last two seasons were low points considering on was a shortened season. He brings a lot more to the table than just goals.
Ok throw in a third rounder. |

I agree but it would have to be a massive over payment to persuade them. I would love to see Jones in an Oilers uniform but not if it meant giving up Yaks or Ebs, Nurse and a first. Now if it was Hemsky, Klefbom and a 3rd and 4th....pull that trigger. - nated81

Refer to my last comment.
In most negotiations, you start somewhere and meet in the middle. I wouldn't want to make the deal too sweet right off the hop and then realize that maybe a smaller deal could have gotten you the same return. |

If that was Smid punching Kadri in the back like that this message board would be off the hook

So in essence, the Oilers need to find an organization that's willing to give up its top goalie for Dubnyk, which means they'd be willing to spend the rest of the season with no real top-goalies, or else it needs to be a team that has two really good goalies, and are willing to give one up. Furthermore, it would want something else that the Oilers would offer. Probably seeking one of the highest draftees.
I don't know if the Caps would be willing to part ways with Holtby or not. Or else the Oil can take a chance on Bryz as he's can be pretty much signed for nothing (as far as I know.) |

If we're including Omark, I want Crosby coming back our way.
I don't mean that I'd say, hey Nashville... Here's Yakupov, Marincin, and a 2nd round pick (or something) for Jones... I'd start off with just Yak... Those three assets are just as far as I'd be willing to go. |

Please. That poop happens literally 20 times a game. Stay on your feet, realize the situation and get back into the play. Hard shoves don't get called in OT...even if you flop afterwards. |

i wsa saying last year that the oil should be in the market for a gaolie and got roasted for it. the real question management would have to be asking, do we wait till the ufa season and ride duby, cut our losses and draft high again? ( to me thats not the right move) or like previoulsy posted, see what bryz, theodore might be asking for.
nest years crop of ufa goalies arent to bad. edm showed last night, that if they have some solid 'tending they are a real threat.
http://www.capgeek.com/fr...osition_id=G&fa_type_id=2
personally if he could be had for cheap, and wanted to come to edm. theodore is a good choice. |
