Eberle for Svedberg, Hamilton, Spooner and a pick? - fudd1689
Switch out Spooner and the pick for Palile and I'd be down with that. |

that's tough, Paille isn't a skilled guy but he is extremely valuable to the Bruins team. I wonder how impactful he would be on the Oilers. I think he flourishes in the Boston system. Gun to my head I'd probably take the counter offer. |

Oh yeah! I know exactly how useful he can be! I think his hard-nosed style with speed would fit well with Eakins' system. |

Guys Yak is not happy;
"I think nobody is happy when they're not playing," said Yakupov. "It was frustrating but it's not my choice. It was coach's choice. That's a question for coach but I'm just getting ready for the next game and working hard. |

"Eakins said the team recently told Will Acton to find a place to stay in Edmonton."
So, barring another injury, Arco will almost definitely be the one going down when Gagner returns. |

No, Yak... That was your choice when you decided to float around the ice and show absolutely zero hustle. |

Yeah...2 years ago you'd never get him. But he seems to have hit a wall, maybe playing in a dump like Florida is slowly killing him. - djamon
At this point...Allen, Lehner, or even Gibson could pass him. |

I think that is what's going to happen too. Arco shouldn't be playing 4th line for the Oilers when he most definitely be playing top 6 minutes in OKC. He is a good faceoff guy and shouldn't be wasted on playing 5 minutes a game. He will be the first call up when the next injury occurs though. |

SEriously though, why does Ebs get a free pass on floating and not Yak? Becasue he is Hall's buddy? Fack that. Ebs is making 6M...maybe he should get demoted to the 3rd and give Yak some Top 6 time for a few whole games.

So in essence, the Oilers need to find an organization that's willing to give up its top goalie for Dubnyk, which means they'd be willing to spend the rest of the season with no real top-goalies, or else it needs to be a team that has two really good goalies, and are willing to give one up. Furthermore, it would want something else that the Oilers would offer. Probably seeking one of the highest draftees.
I don't know if the Caps would be willing to part ways with Holtby or not. Or else the Oil can take a chance on Bryz as he's can be pretty much signed for nothing (as far as I know.) - nayefj
St.L has Halak as #1; Elliott is a strong backup with starter potential. Send Dubnyk to St.L as part of a deal. Give also a prospect and a 2nd and that might be the basis of a good hockey trade. |

agree with that but Eberle did woke up a little yesterday so now he is save. |

Maybe between Hall's outstanding diving display earlier and RNH going down like he was shot had something to do with it. - SameOld
Lol, if it had happened to Kessel and Kadri you (frank)s would be screaming bloody murder. |

He'd better be, because that's why he was benched. Eakins isn't (frank)ing around. I love Yak but early on he's looked stoned out there. |

I think I'd go:
Hall- Nuge- Hemsky/Eberle (the line looked damn good offensively)
Perron- Gordon- Eberle/Hemsky
Gagner- Arco- Yak
Joensuu/Smyth- Acton- Gazdic (Gazzy has won all three of his fights) |
