Ebs has still managed to produce and at least look like he's trying. Yaks has not. If you think the effort level between the two has been the same since the start then we won't agree. - TheTaoOfSemenko
I agree... I'd put Ebs effort level at 53% and Yaks at 24% |

He is invisible most of the time -- I mentioned that numerous times in the other blog, and many others did as well, so he's not getting a free pass at all. One thing I can say though is that he is still producing (4 points in 5 games) and he did pretty damn good last game. Yak floats everywhere... And it's not like he isn't getting opportunities... He was getting a fair amount of PP time (where he looked like sh1t as well). - laughs2907
How is Ebs not getting a free pass? Cause fans mention how he is floating?
Bah!
When the coaching staff makes a change, then you see how something has been noticed.
Yak needs to get his little foreign ass hustling...damn right he does. It is just that Ebs is guilty of the same poop.
All this said, I understand how it is a fine balancing act. So much talent and you wanna get them all rolling. This is why I don't like the idea of icing 3 scoring lines. Two scoring lines, 1 defensive/two-way line and a grinder line. Makes it easier to modify ice time IMO. |

Ebs gives better head, plus Eakins hates Russians.
Both need to move their legs more. - laughs2907
in the french habs blog, jocelyn suggested this trade: price for eberle and duby
the premise of the blog was asking whether stanley cups are won with elite goalies or good-avg #1 goalies.
he's just having fun with the trade. would you guys take price if he were avail, and what would you offer? |

I was thinking more like 60% and 10%. Yaks compete level has infuriated me thus far. |

Hmmm there's a little bit of a different tho cause Eberle started the season playing with Hall or Hemsky and Eberle had been invisible few games and Yak started the season playing with well everyone knows. |

Svedberg isn't a number one yet. Sure, he's got the potential to be, but not quite proven. Then we trade for a guy like Miller with the cap space we freed up! - MaximumBone
Makes sense! It's not like Miller has a NTC or anything. |

He'd for sure never waive it. Not if it meant leaving the paradise of Buffalo. |

Ebs has been Top6, getting 20+ minutes a night until last night. Until last night he had 2a to show for all those prime minutes.
Yak has been 3rd line from Game 1, topped out with 16:30 in a game.
I am not seeing a large production value differential in the extra game worth of minutes between Ebs and Yak, in the games they have both played.

You seem to have this fixation on me being mad. Is it that important to you? OK fine lol.

There you go lumping in individuals with fan bases... are all Oilers fans the same? Tucker was what he was. if you can prove that I defended him in anyway I'll retract my earlier statement... I was more of a Gary Roberts fan. I realize most guys will embellish a bit to get a call but in lasts nights game it became apparent that it's the Oilers Mantra... |

It doesn't have the tourist mecca of Jane and Finch but it has an undeserved reputation...mainly from mouthy easterners that have never been further west than Kenora. |
