For neuvirth I'd give a 3rd and a prospect dman (not the top3) |

I heard there is supposed to be a third one, have you heard anything about that? - nated81
Well, with how 28 Weeks ended, a 28 months would make sense. The whole world essentially being infected with some pockets of resistance. By the end of the movie, the infected all die out due to lack of sustenance and then humanity begins it's rebuilding (which could be it's own set of Mad-Max-like movies or Walking Dead-esque TV series). |

Leaf fans: if the oilers trade one their young kids for a d-men it will be for a top pairing one and the leafs have none of those.

if edm does that, perron or joensuu will have to play 2nd line right wing. i'd pass on fehr and ask for wilson. |

I don't see it that way. Once Gags is back, move Arco over to the wing. Fehr is 6'4" 212lbs, which is something the Oilers could really use. |

Switch Holtby for Neuvirth, Green for Carlson, and Fehr for Wilson and Ward (Cap space). Maybe add a pick going to Washington. |

wilson can be a monster. 19 yrs old 6'4 210lbs and still growing! power forward potential. kid plays with an edge and is willing to drop the damn gloves for a boxing match. |

Maybe I need to scout Wilson a little more, not that familiar with him. He seems like he is a few years away from really making an impact. Green for Carlson, I'm ok with that and Neuvirth for Holtby, I'd be ok with either at this point. |

That's an over pay considering Fehr is fairly average at best,we already have Mike Green 2.0 in J Schultz, and Holtby is only marginally better than Tits at this point.
Having rejected that particular trade I have no issue moving one of Yak or Ebs , Klefbom , Tits, our 2014 1st, basically any of our AHL players ( tho I do think Marincin will be a gem) if it means we can fill out this line up.
Hall RNH Hemsky
Perron Gagner Ebs/Yak
Joensuu Gordon ______?
Smyth Acton ________?
____? Schultz
Petry Belov
Smid Ferrence
______?
LaBackup
That's 4 positions. 3 of them are pretty key. I think Mac T can get it done.
Final point/. Question
Does the Schneider trade signify the going rate for a good starting goalie or did Gillis rip himself off out of desperation?

Carlson gives you what is essentially a #1 Dman, Neuvirth and Dubnyk are two struggling goaltenders that switch places, and those other two add depth.
Carlson > Yak (#2 Dman for potential top liner)
Neuvirth > Dubnyk (Holtby is their starter)
Wilson = Klefbom (two good prospects)
Ward << Hemsky
3.950 + 3 + 2.5 + 900K = $10.35 million for 3.75 + 3.5 + 5 + 900K = $13.15 million
Withhold 2.5 of Hemmer's cap hit and we're in the clear. The pick really is just added as incentive. |

The only issue is do you take the risk of trading both Yak AND Hemsky and then be forced to try Gagner or Arco on the wing? We can't be certain how that'd work out. |

yes, the right wing instantly becomes somewhat of a weakness, but i'd take that risk. perron, joensuu, and wilson can play either wing. gordon will centre ward and one of joensuu or wilson. |
