trades.... thats the whole problem everyone now thinks the oilers are one trade away. why can't they just be happy with progress.. everything takes time. they way the oilers choose to do it takes alot of time... and it's not like the 2nd and 3rd roun draft picks are making an impact yet... wait till next season... again. - derm10
not one trade... The oil need a solid dman like Jones or Weber. Plus a tough defensive bottom pairing guy. I also think they can use a goalie. They really don't have one in the system. Bottom line they have to make a move. They fired management and coaches over and over. Its time to change some personal maybe it has to be a core player. |

sometime if u want that one type of player that u need to take ur team to the next level u pay the price it take to get a player that isn;t on the market. - derm10
hall isn't goin anywhere
eberle maybe. and I bet edm would do it.
but I was commenting that Ottawa almost assuredly has no desire to deal anderson |

he was either troll, stupid, or full of it about watching oiler games.
either way, he was good for a laugh with his comfort blanket remarks.
ill say again; we aint 1-4-1 with Anderson between the pipes - hugefemale dog77
I noticed Miller didn't play tonight, I wonder if there is something brewing between the Oilers and Sabres. Hmmm? |

we're more than one trade away.
but neither are we in a place where we should be bottom of the league.
it's year 4 and excuses and next year cant go on forever. there's no reason we shouldn't be in the playoff hunt and possibly getting in THIS YEAR
not only that, but consistent losing isn't going to help these kids' psyches at all.

He's 33, not that old. I guess they would rather start him against the Islanders instead of the Wild. |

they have lehner coming up.. maybe not this year.. but if they don;t have a successful playoff run look for anderson to be moved while he still has value to make way for lehner. |

exactly trades - derm10
You cant deny that the main problem right now is the goaltending. It's hard to work on the other areas of improvement when its obvious that between the pipes there is no confidence. |

I think they'll move lehner before Anderson.
lehner's an rfa too. they aren't cornered in any way |

(frank), you missed such a good come from behind win. It was amazing, Yak came out and popped in a hatty in 10 seconds then gave the finger to Eakins as he went back to the dressing room. So crazy. - nated81

The main problem is all over the ice...and goaltending.
Watching the oilers play is no different than me playing shinny with my buddies... |
