Of course you are. I'm not discrediting that point - it's very valid. But the team defence has been a chronic problem for more than just the first 6 games of the year. Goaltending is just one dimension to that.

Put it this way, Lundqvist in an Oil jersey still doesn't get this team into the playoffs.

I know there are other issues. All Im saying is goaltending is the most concerning right now. By a longshot. and Im right. Until it's fixed the rest will just get worse.

cause nuge was weak and got taken off the puck and gave up a 3-1.... from the sounds of it, it was berniers worst game.... so if duby didn;t let in those bad ones and bernier played up to par then it woulda came down to overtime.... and nuge got taken off the puck.

Honestly, no clue. I have a fleet of work phones, so it's really endless. Systemtool and Canadianinput are my favourites, then Gunslinger. Beer11 and Stinkfist and this one are my shyte ones. Lots of fans want Eaking gone,but I won't judge the Coach till He gets Gagner back and a real number one Goalie and gets Yak back,from that point if the team doesn't improve then Coaching is a concern.

By team defence I meant forwards and defence....

And imo, it has been as big of an issue as goaltending.

Seriously though, blew my mind that as sharp as Walt was, it was just one minor little oversight that wrecked everything for him.

MacT and Eakins have very little to work with.... in time, it'll get better but there are going to be no overnight miracles...

The Leafs went through the same thing a few years ago when we consistently out-shot or out-played other teams but would lose. We kept trying to convince people we weren't as terrible as our record, but it's not an easy thing to do. You watch the d-men play so tight because they were certain any mistake would end up in the net. It just snowballs at that point. And conversely having a great goalie makes everyone confident.

You guys have a much better team than last year, IMO. You have some real nice pieces on the backend now, and a better bottom 6. But if your goalie sucks none of it matters.
