Are you familiar with who Biron actually is? Have you seen his numbers over the last x years? Have you seen his numbers this year? 7.65GAA .763SV%

Shove those stats up your ass... just like Dubnyk and his .921 you keep regurgitating on from last year... what are his stats this year??? Now explain to me how last years stats help him this year??? what significance do they play??? will it matter when he gets traded or waived??? he has about 3-4 more starts before the BOLD move comes- book it... - saskoil21
What world do you live in? Biron's stats have been WORSE than Dubnyk's stats this year, and Dubnyk has been SH1T this year. Biron's stats have sucked for years... How in the world does Biron help this team in any way? How? Explain to me how he is an upgrade over anything we have... Explain... Go... Explain.
Answer: He's not an upgrade. Quit being a (frank)ing idiot or troll or retard or whatever the (frank) you are. If you're actually being serious, you need help. |

2012-13 NY Rangers NHL 6 2 2 1 336 13 156 2.32 .917 I am saying that Biron can be had for free... He maybe needs a change of scenery... I am saying that maybe Biron got Salo-ed - and he maybe needs to get out of the NYR system... OR maybe NYR is onto something and we should WAIVE Dubnyk as well... |

Oh I am 35 yrs old- I know what Salo'd means- I think that MacT will make a move soon- we cant keep allowing an average of 5 goals per game... maybe I am off on the Biron thing- but Dubnyk is not the answer either... the way the goaltending has been going in Edmonton- I am thinking the whole goaltending dept needs refreshing... |

I've seen a lot of Toronto fans hating on Yakupov during all the drama. To a certain extent, when Eakins criticizes his players, leafs fans seem to take it as a through-line which justifies their distaste for the oilers. They feel vindicated because Eakins used to coach in the Leafs system and now he's trying to break Oilers habits. - Morris
There is something else to consider. Many of us feel that Nazem Kadri was a spoiled brat who needed to grow up and change his attitude.
Other people felt that the Leafs were "ruining" him.
From the outside looking in, we see that it is entirely possible that some young players in Edmonton may have similar growing up to do.
I don't know how "vindicated" has anything to do with this? |

I liked the panles idea of Elliot to push Dubnyk. I don't know if Dubnyk is the answer or not, but I do know Labarbra isn't any answer at all. Even the 4 goals he allowed, if I were to give him a pass on all of them he still looked shaky and out of position.
I'm a little curious what Matheson's latest piece means. We want a tough defenseman for third pairing? Where does that leave the guys that are playing there now? |

Hopefully on the trade block... and to be honest- I dont know why they picked up LaBackup- I guess they thought change would be good- and failed... much like Biron would likely fail too but it would be change... I actually liked Yann Denis last year we actually won with him |

I think Dubnyk and LaBarbara are best friends or something... I think that's why LaBarbara came here in the first place. I'd say they're playing grab ass with each other instead of taking it seriously. |

The Oil can't trade for a goalie, not when their team D is this bad anyway. I'd be adding on the back end and sticking with Dooby if I were them. It's realistic and it could work. |

For the second game in a row, Nail Yakupov was left in the press box to watch at least four or five guys that no one has ever heard of suit up for the Oilers.
Does this seem ludicrous to anyone else?
I know the kid has his share of flaws in his game, but I am a firm believer that the only way for a young player to work those flaws out is to play.
And while Yakupov has been saying a lot of the right type of things, I do believe the Oilers will have a Nikita Filatov-type of situation on their hands soon.
Young, talented players, who know they are pretty damn good and who have a good chance at playing in an Olympic Games in their home country don’t just sit around and watch games. If the Oilers don’t find a better use for Yakupov, you better believe there will be a trade demand followed by a jump to the KHL if this situation isn’t fixed soon.
So with that in mind, why not trade him before this thing blows up and Yakupov isn’t worth what he is now – and believe me it’s going to in about three weeks or less.
To Edmonton- Lack, Jensen, Higgins and a 1st rd pick
For
To Vancouver- Yakupov
Rational
Now if the Oilers would prefer, Booth or Kassian could be substituted for Higgins and/or Gaunce for Jensen that is also an option.
Yakupov would slot in nicely and help the Canucks with the offence they need. He also helps add a young player to the team and gives Vancouver another game breaker.
For the Oilers, it’s gotten to the point where people are taking out ads on Kijiji find a goalie. Eddie Lack helps them with that problem and gives them a goalie to build their young team around. Higgins is the prototypical Dallas Eakins type of player – by that I mean he will play more than Yakupov because of his defence. Lastly, Jensen, while not in Yakupov’s league, replaces the young winger in the system. He also adds some size down the road to the Oilers top-nine.
So what do you think?
Oilers fans?
Canucks fans?
Do we have a deal?
That’s a wrap

A waiver goalie doesn't help anything. Like it or not, any team that has a starter is not going to give them up. There is no quick fix out there.
Get Duby to a shrink and work his ass off. He can recover.
All this stupid trade talk is utterly ridiculous. 99.9% of all the proposals on here are (frank)ed.
You really don't think everyone in the organization right now is scouring the land for another goalie option? Of course they are. And they know the landscape and the market far better than anyone on here who keeps up the "derp...get it done MacT!"

"One day after Oates' positive power talk during practice, the Capitals scored three goals in less than four minutes of the second period en route to a 4-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Monday night."
Yeah, I'm sure it was because of his "power talk" and not the fact that the Oilers goaltending has been absolute sh1t this year
I wonder if Oates cried about Hurtl's goal during his power talk. |
