Petty has been good. Jultz is offense first and needs a better partner. Smid needs to be much better and so far Ference has been OK but not what we need. We have puck movers. We need some one to shut down the goal crease. - Iggysbff
Personally I think Petry is brutal in his own end.
I don't think anyone on their D plays top pairing minutes on any other team in the league.
Anyways. I'm not trying to stir poop up. That's the end of my advise |

I don't fully disagree with your views on our defense, but J.Schultz probably would be a top pairing d-man on teams with a true #1. |

Ya exactly. It's a combination of bad goals and bad defense I think. I'm not try to bash the Oilers but their back end is brutal.
Petry, N. Schultz, Jeff Shultz, Belov.......not saying they are awful but overall its a pretty bad group.
I think the Oilers would be better off investing in defence than they would goaltending because it needs to be there first in order for any tender to be successful IMO. - The-O-G
I think several times during every game they are pretty (frank)ing brutal in front of their own net... They fail to clear the area and just stand around looking at the puck without moving... They look lost or like they're day dreaming. That being said, goaltending has been sh1t... I'm not going to defend what Dubsh1t and LaCrapara have done so far this season. |

My God, for once I agree with Craig Button... If the Oilers want to keep Yakupov, they need to move Hemsky. I know some of you guys will say he has been a good player this year, but come on guys... He's terrible without the puck. Just watch some of the plays he makes out there... Terrible. Yes, he's flashy and can add some offense, but his overall game is blahhhhhhhhhh |

I believe I mention that yesterday,I hope Hemsky is just been showcase for a trade because He's one of the reasons why Yak is not playing top minutes. |

Yeah if Hemmer is gone it just means lack of forward depth so he's in by default. Though I'm not so sure that's a bad thing...(frank) knows...would it be better to have Yak playing through this?
So what happens tonight?
Move Joensuu to the 4th and sit Brown/ Gazdic?

Eberle doesn't try to do it all himself from our hash marks.
That and the minute thing is such a load of BS. I did the comparison last week to Hertl and Galchenyuk. Yak was getting more time and primo PP time with great players and wasn't getting it done.
If he can't get it done on the PP with great players then it's all on him.
As bad as Eberle may or may not be, he still has 4 points in 6 games. |
