Nothing above substantiates that Briere was asked to waive his NMC and refused. - MJL
briere suffered a concussion in practice which essentially killed any interest in him from other teams. end of story |

It's absolutely 100% true!! - LeftCoaster
JVR was one of the guys who immediately started the 10 pm workouts with Jagr in addition to the regular daytime workouts everyone did. He was completely committed off the ice. You can say it's true all you like, but we're in the same time zone and saw the guy. It may have taken him a bit to get it all together, but it wasn't lack of work or commitment that caused that. Bigger forwards tend to take a bit to get everything working on all cylinders. |

Get your facts outta here. It's more fun to say he screwed the Flyers. |

i wanted patience and at least one more year with him. it's done. schenn is here now, let's hope both he and his brother take their game to the next level. i'm not going to get hung up on winning the trade. |

from elliotte friedman:
When Craig Berube raged against the number of penalties the Flyers take, he hit on the biggest weakness other teams pinpointed with Philadelphia. "Undisciplined," was an oft-used adjective to describe them. Another common description: "They go offside too much." |

Amen, there's no award for winning trades. Well, except the NHL GM of the Year award, I guess. |
