Harry Z and Engellend should spend some more time on passing in practise.

If the Pens continue to dominate the forecheck like this the Oilers are going to get smoked. |

I hope Nisky and Engo have the game of their lives. I've seen enough speed from Yakupov to envision him on Geno's line |

Indeed they are. We're looking for a spot too....l
Tough not to think about it. Shero basically making it easy if that's the case. I certainly hope not but he's a shutdown guy with a bit of snarl. He'd be a hit there. |

Orpik showing some fire there...hopefully he hits everything that moves now. He looked a bit pissed at the call. |

Didn't see the hit but I agree with the punishment

I DON'T like the optics of this game. We have the uncanny ability to let poopty teams keep close - Florida beat us and Edmonton is actually out playing us. |

Ryan Wilson: Penguins And Oilers Share Similar Amount Of Top Draft Picks, Not Results
Penguins take on the Edmonton Oilers at the Consol Energy Center, features many offensive players. - Ryan_Wilson
Only just saw this, and I have to see it's a pretty stale analysis of the Edmonton rebuild.
How nice it is when Edmonton plays a team once a year and their blogger, after reading up on the team for 10 minutes gets to critique the last 7 years of Oilers hockey. The fact that you use our June 2006 trade of Pronger to connect us to the current-day Flyers is bizzare. The team has 1 player in common with that '06 squad, and the majority of our players have been acquired through trades and free agency since.
Also, the "impossible standard" of the Pens being compared to the 80s Oilers is a bit of a sob story, when the current Oilers have been gleefully reminded they're not only not the 80s Oilers, but also not Chicago, Pittsburgh, and every successful high drafting team since. |
