Well being optimistic, or pessimistic doesn't really change what happens on the ice, but it's too early in the season to abandon ship now. Lots of hockey yet to be played.

i have no doubt that they can rebound and give us some good hockey this yr, but they have around 10 gms to turn it around or they'll miss the plyoffs...way too many good teams competing for spots this year.

No way. The only player on Edmonton we should be looking at is Eberle.

Hemsky is not that good anymore, injury prone, and a UFA after this season.

I never thought I would lose as much interest in ice hockey as I have these past 2 seasons, I just don't get any excitement watching this team anymore,its the same ole same ole nothing seems to work and has not for 2years now.

not sure this current roster has the make up or guts to be a effective team, it seems we never recaptured the heart since prongers exit.

at this point I would welcome a blow up such as swapping Giroux for weber trad for a puck hog offensive freak like nail at this point we have nothing to lose

I don't know if its the new NHL or what... but its def lost something.

Playoffs are fun still though. Might treat hockey like baseball and just show up for playoffs.

ehh, I think I'd need a bit more. Honestly, Coburn is my least favorite Flyer next to Rosehill. He always takes the dumbest (frank)ing penalties and hasn't even looked good defensively in a long time now. That being said, other teams seem to value him, and while I like Hemsky, not many people seem to value him. Maybe Hemsky and a 2nd/3rd would be good.
