We barely have 1 superstar!

Hey, I'll be a happy guy when the Rangers win their next cup... I just doubt it will be while Richards & Nash are on the team.

- Iamnumber27

At it again I see. Just switch a root the Penguins they have superstars. 4 to be exact.

Why because you told me the Rangers win the cup this season. I'm staying.

Post them for me. Should be easy to find. And post the thread you found them in.

Back to the game. Caps only generated 16 even strength shots. Rangers only turned the puck over 4 times. Rangers out hit the caps 35 -21. Rangers won the tough physical and mental battles. Still issues at the dot though, lost that 37-31.

question: if you're glen sather and edmonton calls you up and says: we'll give you yakupov if you give us MDZ, Kreider, and a 1st...do you do it? what if it's staal or girardi instead of MDZ?

I'd think long and hard about most packages that don't include Ryan McDonagh. If he is off the table, we can talk, if Edmonton insists, then the phone call ends.

what a great win last night, that was definitely what the doctor ordered. Not only dominating the game but also seeing Lundqvist back to himself.

Warms the heart

Just keep it goin. It's waaaaay too depressing when we suck.

Of course they pitch a shutout with DZ out of the lineup, can't wait to see the knee jerk reaction from the clueless like scottyhockey, I went full rage on him last night

I just curse him off, I challenged him to a fight but he still hasn't blocked me, he called them cowards for not jumping off the bench and going after Brouwer and not jumping Ovi on the next shift

you know the same people who all game long every game whine about "staying out of the box" are also the same people who every time an incident happens, want to take out retribution and have the players do something that completely contradicts that philosophy.

Lock down D, great goaltending, getting pucks behind the D and grind away, get into shooting lanes (22 blocks I believe) and let your captain lead the way.

Its amazing that when they play this way and Brad Richards is Brad Richards and their PP doesn't lose momentum (here is where AV gets credit, they are shooting the puck and it will be productive if they keep banging away) and play mean, gritty 5 on 5 hockey and not pond hockey this team can win.

It took AV 5 games to figure this out. Perhaps the new coach will look at film from 11-12 and make the adjustments necessary to the blueprint that we know works with these guys which is all I was asking. Not an entire system overhaul.

Good win. Mark Staal is back! Guy played a great game against Ovie.

I liked just about everything last night. I still have to say Pyatt and Boyle are still a stride behind; more-so Pyatt as Boyle does more with faceoffs and on the PK.

I am not a big fan of Poulion either. Guy has size, speed, and skills, but the mindset of a rookie. Maybe if he gets reunited with Brassard and MZA and starts to perform better as he did with them...I dunno.

Solid win. We take it. We move on to the next one.

Hate to give Mike Milbury props for anything, but he did point out that the Rangers played the way they need to play to win. So, AV has already discovered he cannot play run and gun with this bunch. It's a tough way to play night in, night out, but for one night they looked very good.

I would seriously consider MDZ, Krieder and a 1st for Yakapov, although I must admit I haven't seen him play, so it's purely a pedigree thing.

I would make that deal provided that the Rangers are completely and totally satisfied that he won't bolt for the KHL. He is an amazingly skilled player. He's a healthy scratch in Edmonton right now, so there would be some growing pains, and perhaps he wouldn't help much this year, but his ceiling is very, very high.

Can I say "do not trade our home-growns AND a #1 for Russians" without getting in any trouble?

Has this organization not learned yet about acquiring lazy Russians?

He's a healthy scratch on the Oilers. Should answer your question there.

In reality...I am not sure, but there is a serious issue of being scratched on the Oilers and possibly bolting to the KHL.
