In that deal for Nail is the deal I was relating to. I wouldn't mind shipping MDZ off in a deal to get some scoring. Of course, to a western division team if possible. - DONMURDOCH14
I have always been a MDZ defender, but even if he is over the flu, I think they should go with same lineup saturday.

Take Staal off that list and I'd be okay with that - DONMURDOCH14
Hate to say it, but i truly believe he is going to Carolina after his contract to play with his brothers. So if we can get Yak in a deal that involves him, I wouldnt consider it a deal breaker. Just my opinion though obviously |

I hear alot of that Not exactly panning out for jordan though. I would want to make my own name in the sport instead of being a trivia question. Wait until the end of your career for things like that... Like niedermayer did.

He's been Brutal. You killed Gabby but not MDZ. Interesting. MDZ has been terrible moreso than Gabby ever was. IMO

Remember when Slats supposedly had a handshake deal to acquire Steve Stamkos from the Lightning, and then TB ownership blew it up. I am not saying that Yakupov will be Steve Stamkos, but if he is available right now, because he is going through some struggles, there is some signicant upside in trying to acquire him. Is their downside, of course, but the Rangers haven't had a stud young offensive player in forever, so it may be worth the risk. - Pete V
You just convinced me that we need to put on the full court press. |

I still think kristo and kreider should be playing instead of pyatt and fast right now but ok great win
and I would trade kreider and MDZ for yakupov although I feel kreider will put it togheter and eventually score 30 a season but yaks has potential for 50 a year.. |

I dont think Edm wants a DZ type. I think they want the all around type like Staal or the warrior like G |

it's definitely apples and oranges. If MDZ was making 7.5 million and looking to pass the puck while taking a penalty shot I definitely would be all over it.

I would think hard about girardi but I think right now they take DZ as well just imagine what could be:
cally-stepan-yakupov
hagelin-richards-nash
miller-brassard-zucc/kristo
pouliot-moore/boyle-dorsett
but switch yakupov for kreider and it still looks very good actually if kreider pulls his stuff together |

True, and
MDZ does nothing good. Can't pass, shoot or defend or throw a check. He is a weak link and is expendable. I don't know if they could get a top 6 forward for him but I sure would shop him around. Give D-Mac a spot in the lineup. IMO |

I said it before the season, I knew MDZ was going to be brutal playing the right side.
There are too many left handed defensemen on this team. MDZ should absolutely be trade bait on this squad. I think even his own mother would look at this roster and agree to that.

Dont think McI is ready, even though he is that right handed guy we need, I think Connor Allen is the better choice |

Again Edmonton will not take a struggling dman for a former 1st overall pick. Plenty of teams will out bid that in a second. |

alright I'm fine by keeping kreider, but we should be shopping DZ i think, combine him with one off the young guys and you can attract a really nice player |

yeah, it doesn't necessarily need to be Yakupov, but with Hagelin returning, Rangers seem primed to make a 2 for 1 type deal |

Nino Niedereitter got Clutterbuck a good tough player but not a star by any means. Nino was I assume more valuable than Kreider at the time. But I will admit Garth is terrible at making trades. |

little different though. Nino or his agent had asked to be traded, Nino led the team in points in Bridgeport and wasn't called up for playoffs. A trade had to be done.
The Rangers don't have same situation with Kreider

They could have told him to suck it up, play next year with JT and go from there. they had all the leverage in the world. Clutterbuck is a guy they wanted and they overpaid a bit but he could be a key piece to this club. |

I am not so sure. Oilers want a ton for the kid, but he does only have half a NHL season of experience and is having trouble cracking the lineup today. Kid's trade value isn't as high as some think. - mames11
i think his value is still stupid high. he's a former 1st overall pick who's been playing in NA since juniors so i don't think the KHL is a legitimate option...just media rumors.
he's scratched a couple games but remember he has like less than 50 NHL game experience. even with that superstar talent, he's still a kid and still needs to be developed. kinda like drouin getting sent to juniors even though the kid is unreal...he's still a kid.
i have no doubts that yakupov will pan out but he just needs to develop the right way. from what i've seen of him, he's offensively as good as they come but he needs to work on his defensive game A LOT and he tries to do too much by himself...but that could be a result of having so much talent and being buried on the 3rd line in EDM. |

i think EDM would do staal + kreider for yak + n. schultz, provided staal re-signs.
but i also think acquiring yak is a pipedream. |

after last night do you huys still think kristo and kreider should be playing instead of guys like pyatt?? from what i've seen evrybody was good except pyatt and fast only played 8mins so he should not be here either, switch pyatt for kreider and fast for kristo and it's a lot better still IMO even after the win |

I'm okay with keeping kreider the kid has some unreal skills and the body to just play dominant, he just needs to get enough confidence and he's well on his way I think |

looks a lot better on paper but pyatt can actually play defense in his own zone while kreider and kristo cannot. remember that AV loves that zone-start stuff so he likes having a balance of half offensive players half defensive players.
also, kreider and kristo probably won't be trusted at all and will play just as much as fast with guys like cally and richards getting more minutes late in tight games. |

I am of the opinion that Fast needs more grooming in the minors. Nobody has to twist my arm on getting rid of Pyatt, he's miserable.
Kristo and Kreider should be given another look; it's up to Vigneault to agree to that though sentiment though. |
