Not really, they were just more responsible with the puck tonight. They out chanced Washington all night, at even strength. |

I meant defensively. they blocked a good amount of shots tonight. |

They had the puck more than they ever did with a Tortorella type team. They played desperate defensive hockey tonight; something that is very customary to the Tortorella teams. |

Pyatt out there in the last minute. Yep, sounds about right...What the f*ck? |

That's really not saying much though, considering that the Capitals are a horrible even strength puck possession team. It's probably just because it's basically the same defense and probably PK'rs on the Rangers, and they are just good hockey players. |

Capitals forwards don't help the defense out at all; noticed that all night. |

Nice win, a truly bad team doesn't lose the last 3 the way they did and comeback with a shutout |

Good team win; nothing bad to say. Hope Stepan has no lingering effects from that hit. |

Very strong effort tonight. A lot of pressure for an early season game, and they stepped up. |

They can reasonably come back home 4-5; if they bring this kind of effort the rest of this road trip.
New Jersey, Philadelphia and the Canadiens before they go home. No reason they can't return to the Garden with at least eight points. |

Oops, thanks for the correction. That Wings game will be tough but those other two games should be wins. Jersey and Philly have had a really tough time scoring. |

Richards just admitted he did poop training wise during the lockout and that's why he was so bad. |

Yea, it was fairly obvious though. He is a much better player than what we saw last season. You don't crap out, just like that, after a career of being a legitimate first line player. |
