Trade hank, cally, and girardi. Fire av and rehire torts. Tank for reinhart. This team is doomed....oh wait...are we stanley cup contenders again? Or only until we lose again?

Enjoy tonight, look for Stepan's hit to be a non factor going forward and see if they can build on this Saturday night.

Head shots are always something to worry about down the road. Glad he returned, worried about residual effects

Im confused. Are you upset that richards is performing up to his contract and that the rangers won today? Were you hoping for a loss?

Me too. A little bit. Kinda. I don't know... I was hoping for loss and a few more so they would blow this team up... I'm clinging on but not by much at the moment.

Blow up the team? Apparently this team is super untalented so what would we possibly be able to get if we blow it up? A few 2nds and 3rd?

Gonna be keeping an eye on Richards for sure this season. It will be very interesting to see what the team does with his contract this offseason if he has a big year. Most of us wanted him bought out last season, me too, but have been able to live with them keeping him, knowing there is one more bite at the apple coming July '14. Do you buy him out on a good year, knowing you lose the buyout if you don't use it? Do you keep Richards and buy out a different player, perhaps an under-achieving-cap-anchor? Could that player end up being named Rick Nash, say if he fails to live up? Hmmmm. Very interesting for sure. What if Nash misses the season over this concussion? Can't buy out an injured player! Ah for all I know Richards goes 9-45 and they buy his ass out. Either way it's gonna be interesting! Thoughts?

Yea who wouldn't want a fresh start with a team whos core is 95% under 30 years old (most closer to 20), been growing and developing chemistry for years together, and has been deep in the playoffs together and have won a bunch of game 7s together.

Just blow them up right when the window opens.

If richards is a ppg player, I dont think they buy him out similarly to chicago not buying out hossa.

I think nash will be back before the end of the long homestand for sure.

yea. it's impossible to win the cup unless you have 5 superstars on your team like edmonton....oh wait.

didn't boston win the cup because of great goaltending, great character, and great depth? i think the recipe is similar for the rangers.

We barely have 1 superstar!

Hey, I'll be a happy guy when the Rangers win their next cup... I just doubt it will be while Richards & Nash are on the team.

to win the cup, i believe you need depth, a few big-time players, a hot goalie, timely scoring, and luck.

the rangers, if richards keeps up, have 3 bonafide stars on the team with him, nash, and hank. the entire team has great experience and with good depth (which the rangers should have once we get healthy) comes timely scoring. richards might legitimately be the most clutch player in the entire NHL that's active right now and he proved that 2 years ago against the caps and in the winter classic against philly. and let's not forget we have the best goalie in the world in net.

it all comes down to if we get the bounces in the playoffs and it all comes together.

i understand why you don't think this roster has it in them. but blow them up? if anything, you should want us to make that final trade where we package a few prospects or that final UFA signing to put us over the hump...not trade away everyone just when they're finally entering their prime or still on the rise.
