Agreed. 3rd best possession team in the NHL. Possession wins championships

>My take: many key Hawks played poorly, yet game went to a SO
>After seeing the Blues 2 times in a week it's clear Hitch studied the Hawks-Wings series all summer
>Blues (like the Wings in the playoffs) consistently tripped Hawk players when they tried to get up ice in either direction -- I counted 12 and stopped after that -- it's Babcock's playoff MO -- when in tight with the opponent and puck is at least near, trip the guy -- they won't call it
>Blues often made a serious effort to try to stop Hawks D-to-D passing on the breakout when they could -- first forechecker "sells" he's coming, second forechecker is already at topspeed going to the other Dman
>Second Blues goal came off of a Hawks face-off win that turned into a loss when the Blues jumped between the D-to-D pass
>A little disappointed the Hawks didn't really adjust -- but hardly concerned
>Keith is an elite talent and player, I'm a big supporter -- but -- if I'm Q I've got Keith's stick rep at practice with a variety of flexes, lofts, and lies -- and Dunc's is staying after practice to try them all
>It's incomprehensible to me that a talent like Keith keeps missing the net with the open looks he had tonight

That's exactly what I said ... then, out trots "the Sniper" ...

...who won it for the team on Tuesday, in the shootout. Can you really blame Q for putting him out there again? If I were in Q's shoes, I would have done the same thing tonight.

I saw him for a shift or two in the third. Looked like the same old poop in Rockford. I wasn't impressed.

I'm glad he got his 1st career goal.

- EKolb13Now it's time to write him in as the full time #2 center.

Hawks are 0-1 when he scores....kiss of death.

I'll take your word for it.

At the home opener here in St Louis, there was an argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend who were plastered. The guy (about 6'3", 250) decided to just headbutt her. (5'5", 100 or so). She was dazed for a few seconds, then gave him 3 or 4 rally nice shots to the jaw. I think he ended up in worse shape, and was the one less off in handcuffs.

So I am right. St. Louis is inundated with Trailer Trash.

uhhhh, no.

Who's suggesting that?

Interesting...Q's presser is on WGN.

He. Is. Pissed.

...at the Hawks. So Q agrees with me too.

- ArlingtonRob

They played poor tonight, why wouldn't the coach be mad? This was by far the worst game of their year

I know I said I'm not ready to get on the ledge yet, but I agree with you on the bag skate. Q needs to lock this team down before we all end up on the ledge.

Phuck the shootout. I turned off the game the moment OT ended. I have no interest in the gimmick, "win" or "lose". Silliest ending to a professional sporting event ever devised. Phucking pathetic way to award an extra point. #bushleague

I think what Q is really pissed at (and can't say anything about it) is how does Toews get called for a slash when that is what St.Louis did all night? Zeus didn't even have his elbow up, what kind of call was that? I don't care if you put a high school team up against a pro team, if you let the weaker team get away with cheat tacktics the game will come out even. Proof tonight! Bettman wants a league of parity. He is getting it when zerbas call one-way games.
