F uck St. Louis. Biggest sh!thole on the planet.
You know why Chicago's the Windy City? Because Milwaukee sucks and St Louis blows. - Ogilthorpe2
Here is a little tip if you really want to rile up St. Louisans say their pizza tastes like $hit. |

they lost 4-3 to dallas tonight...
Right now
The Hawks, Blues, Kings, & Sharks are the best teams in the west...and on any given night one of them is better than the other 3.....it will be like this most of the season. - UnnamedSource
I think that's the way it'll end up, but the Hawks are not a top tier club at this early stage of the season...they have work to do.
As I've said several times, to the consternation of the meatballs, this start doesn't surprise me at all. I just hope they can stay within stricking distance, stay healthy, and then start focusing after the new year and make a run into the playoffs.
Despite the comments of the players, the focus and intensity are simply not there yet...call it a hangover, or call it a short offseason, but it's not a surprise.
This Hawk club is not the late 70's Habs...they'll need health, focus and some luck to reach the finals again. |

Come on buddy. You know its true. A buddy of mine who is a Blues fan earned the ire of our mutual friends because he agreed with me that St. Louis style pizza was lower quality that Tontino's. |

Yes...I recall a trip to the ol' Checkerdome (I luved that barn) back in the 80's. How we escaped without a fight was a surprise...great atmosphere overall, but all it takes are a couple d'bags to ruin a good night. - ArlingtonRob
It goes both ways. The game here in St Louis this year against the Hawks, several dbags threw beer all over myself and the 5 or 6 around me after a goal. Then as the game ended, he punted a half full cup. Dbags are fans of every team. |

I will have to come clean about this. I argued with a guy from Austin this summer who said all BBQ in St. Louis garbage. He never went to Pappy's or Bogart's. |

St. Louis BBQ is garbage. The only culinary props I'll give to anything St. Louis is Ted Drewes Frozen Custard. |

Agree completely. Didn't mean to suggest otherwise, just to note that one incident. In fact, some Blues fans helped cool down one situation by barking back at the d'bags who were messing with us...
...like I said, it only takes a couple bad guys out of thousands to mess up a good time...and yes, there are plenty of jags here in Chicago too.
Cubs vs. Sox games illustrate that every year...even when both clubs are a joke. |

Well in late here. Heads up for my rant tomorrow...a preview if you will.
Looking at ice time and this line crap, I am done with it. For God sake manage the team from the position of strength that you are in.
Q is trying to prove his worth by juggling crap. Freaking make a line up and let the boys play. How the (frank) do you learn anything by letting guys play with each other haphazardly a shift here and there. You look like a maniac.
Poise. Coach with Poise. You still have the talent, roll your lines and let the guys play. My goodness.
For Gods sake, Hand Juices next game should be an alumni game.
This team has been a league standard because they have set the tone, established the modern style of playing with speed and energy. Now somehow, in the regular season, where the game is about offense and explosion, we roll back the clock and defer to Q's joy of finding predictability with Handjuice. Here is a prediction, he is slow as molasses and loses more draws than its worth to have him out there.
This asinine routine is growing very old. Q micromanaging a group of guys who won the cup, as if they are 10 year olds. Play guys or do not dress them. Lets keep this simple.
As I said a million times over the past few years, you have the talent edge against every team but a couple, and those couple are draws. So for God sake, dictate the game and let the opponent worry about stopping you.
We make it easy. Lets get on our heels and react, as opposed to being the original stimulus.
I am flabbergasted. |

Hold on Pappy's and Bogart's are nationally recognized. Now, if you are talking about St. Louis styleribs that is another story. |

Haven't had the chance to be on much lately, but hi to everyone.
So, I'm getting tired of the shoot outs. Is it possible for us to play a whole game and win in freakin regulation? Too much talent on this team for this kind of effort.
And what happened to Kaner on the S/O? He used to almost always be good for a goal.
I'm nervous about this start. Just hope they can get enough points so that when they come back from the Olympic break we can make a good playoff run.
I hate losing to St. Louis almost as much as I hate losing to Vancouver or Detroit.
Here's hoping they can get their sh!t together. |

Q needs to stop with the line juggling, at least with the top 6. I know he's still trying to find the right guys to take over for the departed Frolik, Bolland and Stalberg but he needs give the lines a chance to gel. - DarthKane
Hey now, Q knows what he his doing - he has a bazzillion wins and 2 cups. But he did lose to a crappy Phoenix team in the first round - I am sure that was a fluke. Oh ya, that Hawk pp is really clicking. ah i am sure the blues pk corrected their mistakes after giving up 7 goals in 14 tries after the last 3 games.
Hmmm, the Hawks just ran into another hot goalie |

Ted Drewes isn't even the best frozen custard in St Louis IMO. It is very good, but Fritz's is better. Ted Drewes is a bigger name though. |

Word for word. It's always gotta be about Q, so he can claim coaching wins. It's like watching an All Star game, except the All Star coaches juggle far less. Laying down a drop pass knowing your line mate will be there is worth it's weight in gold. He broke up Toews & Kane for no reason, even WTF. The revolving door 6d is gonna ruin Leddy's career, too. No chemistry anywhere.

Great post and I too don't get it. Also could we not shake up the shoot out by sending Pirri...Saad and Shaw out there. Kane stickles hands himself out of position....Toews shoots 5 hole and Sharp closes his eyes and fires a wrister (other than against Carolina where he deked and scored) Our shoot out is all too predictable as is the outcome...another point down the toilet.
