He's damn right, I am tired of seeing this team be good enough to not be a basement dweller but bad enough to never really be considered a true cup contender; sans 2012 of course.

Nothing wrong with sucking for a year or two and get the top, or one of the top, prospects in those respective drafts. Rangers have some B+, A- prospects but never truly A or A+ type kids in their system.

In this day and age, the draft is where you make your team truly solid.

They walked away with 1 NHL goaltender and two big bodied dmen in Crawford, Seabrook, and Byfuglien.

People talk about all the wealth of offensive talent that was there, but sometimes you need to focus on your organization first.

If they are going to totally suck, better of sucking next year. Ekblad and Reinhart are excellent players, but I am not sure if either of them will be the guaranteed superstars type number 1 picks. In short, I am not sure either one of them is worth blowing a whole season over. Next year, is altogether different. Just win the Cup this year, and tank next.
