The 4th line role players have done there job. Overall the 4th line players on every team are going to be the most ineffective players, that's why they are there.
I do agree with Nick Schultz. He can't make an outlet pass to save his life. God knows how frustrating it is for the forwards out there.
The reason the PP isn't getting shots is because they don't get offensive zone control. Hall is the worst for giving up the puck.
The #1 pp should be RNH, Perron, Eberle, Schultz, Yakupov. - Pilgor09
Yeah, but our 4th liners have been especially bad.
Hall is also one of the best on this team at gaining the zone. Because of their general unwillingness to dump and chase (especially on the PP), zone entries have started to become an issue. Take that 5-on-3 against Ottawa as an example. Absolutely atrocious lack of effort and they were stymied every time they made an entry attempt partly because they missed Hall's speed and recklessness when gaining the zone.
My #1 PP unit would consist or Gordon, Nuge, Perron, Schultz, and Yakupov. Gordon for a net front presence, Nuge along his half boards, Perron for driving the net, and Schultz and Yak for obvious reasons. #2 unit would be Arco/Gagner, Hemsky, Hall, Eberle, and Belov. |

Id say a part of his giveaway issue is that through training camp and to start the year he was playing center, a position that as we all saw he simply isn't suited for. I agree that the shelf time may be helpful for him as he can put his mind back into winger mode. |

I heard its being leaked that its a torn ACL, and he's gone for the season.
I hope its not true. I need that boy playing, or my keeper pool will suffer greatly. |

If thats the case - 1) thank god we did not trade Yak... and 2) thank god we did not trade yak... and 3) Hall either has bad luck or he is a (frank)ing bandaide... - I thinks its a little of both |

Stauffer thought it was a sprain so who knows. Depending who the leak is they might have a pretty good idea based on what has already been seen on Hall. |

I don't understand your hate for the 4th line? Remember Jacques Mac Fraser Belenger.... the list goes on. With out a doubt the oilers are one of the softest teams in the league. A game where intimidation and physical play is a major part that's not good. So we have guys that can play 6 mins a night that can throw fists and hits as well as get in on the for check. Acton has been great on the PK and on the face off dot. The Oil finally have a scrapper that can skate well enough to actually get in on the for check. Gaz I will admit he looks sketchy at times when he gets the puck but he looks like 10X the player mac is.
Not a huge Hall fan but yes they do miss his speed, but come on. Ever heard of dump and chaise? IMO they just needed to make a simple play and support each other more than they did. It seemed like they tried to do too much and play as individuals more than a team on that 5 on 3. |

Hope you're wrong. At the time it looked innocent enough. Hall didn't go down, and tried a shift after that to give it a test. If it was completely torn, he probably wouldn't even have attempted the test.
My speculation is that it's a mcl sprain. |

Yeah, that's true, if it was torn, he wouldn't even be putting weight on it at all.
It's probably just some haters spreading rumors, I was hoping you guys would know the dirt. |

Ebs has been taking hits all year so far. For some of them there shoulld have been penalties and maybe some intervention by one of his larger teammates. |
