Huh, surprised PLind hasn't jumped on the "Terry Murray's team can't stop goals" thing yet. Blog's been up for almost seven minutes.

He's shown quite a bit of promise. Has had some rookie mistakes but overall has looked good. |

Did I read that correctly? Hartnell on the 4th line? Ouch
"When you are out in Philadelphia, everyone is so nice," defenseman Braydon Coburn said. "Honestly, everyone knows we've had a tough start, but they had kind words and told us to get it going and that it's a long season."

Between the Phantoms, and Flyers they have won 2 out of 13 games. Holmgren is stockpiling major talent. The future is so bright, I need a pair of shades.

Unfortunately, he's not that far off.
There is no immediate help available because of dismal drafting and trading away valuable picks over the years. Even if the recent crop of promising players yields a couple of NHL players, they won't be major contributors for a few years yet. |

Interesting to see Lecavalier on Giroux's line. This may get G going. Vinny played great before he got injured and created a lot of space for his line mates. |

Hartnell on 5th line with projected healthy scratches. Not ready to return from injury yet. - Chris48
I think you are most likely correct but Berube paints both Hartnell and Lecavalier with the same brush as far as regarding their availability. It sounds like Hartnell may be ready to come back at the same time as Lecavalier. If so, maybe it isn't so cut and dry. Both were partial participants in practice.
Injury updates
Craig Berube indicated that forwards Vinny Lecavalier and Scott Hartnell likely would not be available for Thursday's game against the Rangers. There was hope that Lecavalier might be able to sneak back into the lineup after he sustained a lower-body injury against the Coyotes on Oct. 11. Hartnell, who sustained an upper-body injury the same night, had been a longshot to play against the Rangers.
"I'm not sure they'll be ready," the coach said. "That's still up in the air."
Lecavalier and Hartnell were partial participants in practice yesterday. They did not take part in the laborious skating drills held toward the end.
"They haven't really practiced with the team full out," Berube said. "I'm not sure of the benefit [of playing Thursday]. We want to make sure they are ready to go 100 percent and in shape."

Guess who's conspicuously absent from the list of adoptees...
Homer's Gut FTW - Tomahawk
Mentioned this yesterday in another realm. I'm hopeful that the addition of Hextall from the Kings organization was a step in that direction. That they're developing/using analytics, but it's just being kept under wraps for now. |
