Was that the league's lowest over/under?

The over under for wins was set at 16.5... they play 82 games like the Flyers.
- jak521

Take the under.

Will they start the season 1-7 and average 58 points a game?

All 5 of their fans will be heartbroken.

I think at this moment they are the closest to winning a championship in the city. They could be very good in a very short amount of time. They will be the worst team, they may have another lottery pick, and they will have all kinds of cap room. If they draft Wiggins or Parker, it could be enough to attract another star in free agency. 2 bonafide stars and your contending.

Well I can't say I'm surprised at the topic of conversation. It was only a matter of time. I'm glad most are blowing it off as a non story. But this is how it starts. There's a post that was made on Pannacio's thread about Giroux. I'm surprised it took this long for this kind of stuff to be posted.

Yep, and here's the kicker. No one in management is telling us their competing for a championship this year.

and that said, the Sixers will probably lose the lottery.

Get Jobbed out ala the floundering Blackhawks Attendance scam of 2007 perpetrated by the NHL's very own Bernie Madoff....Gary Bettman!

Oh hey, no one's going to games in Chicago, they better win the Kane lottery

There's something in the new CBA which states that the NMC takes effect as soon as an extension is agreed upon.
- MJL

I believe that's only the case if they already meet the 7 year/27-year-old restrictions, then it takes effect immediately.

Yep!!! Sixers have a real shot. No one will go to the games. There's a real case to be made for the NBA to want them to do well. RIGGIN FOR WIGGINS!!

That's the sad thing about the NBA. You just need 2 good players and you're a contender. However, if they do win a championship, I still won't care because the NBA is a horrible league.

The NBA spawned Bettman. He used to be David Stern's crummy little toady back in the 80's.

The Sixers probably won't finish in last because there are so many bad teams in the East they'll actually win a few games.

There are a couple teams in the West that will just get hammered.

Did I read that correctly? Hartnell on the 4th line? Ouch

- Flyers_01

Are you forgetting he is still 2 weeks away from being cleared to play according to the original 4-week estimate and skated Sunday for the first time since being hurt? Vinny is on schedule to come back from a 2-week injury. Don't read anything silly into the line.

So you're assuming the "minor issue" is keeping Hank out?

if ever there was a time to give him a break, whether for minor or major, i'd think tomorrow's game would be a good one.
