Really? Because Montreal beat the Oilers quite handily in Edmonton with Peter Budaj in net... - DoubleDown

for the record, since a few are arguing about it, my opinion, as a Montrealer, is that the hit on Lars Eller was 100% legal. Everyone should be talking about Rafael Diaz`total suicide pass and Eller getting railroaded because of it...not the legality of the hit. Eller was toast either way.
clean hit. |

For the Edmonton fans saying Gryba should be suspended, you might want to talk to your GM:
"It looked like an innocent, innocuous play... I don’t think it was a dirty play at all"
As for the Eller hit, it's not even clear Gryba hit him on the head, let alone that it was intentional - if he hadn't smashed his face into the ice, there would have been no blood, no penalty, and no injury. |

Coming from a Minny fan that was pretty cheesed about the Hall-Clutterbuck incident, what do you think of the Gryba hit? |

I hope you`re not serious. Pro athletes NEVER intentionally lose (even when they become GMs and coaches)...NEVER. - JLO961
I have no idea if Edmonton tried to lose, but it's not hard to find examples of pro athletes intentionally losing, bud. |

as far as the players go..this is true.
management didnt do much to help insulate these kids though. picking up eagers, suttons, barkers etc. aint gonna do much to get a team with a core of 20 year olds over the hump |

agreed.
they shouldve been secondary options up until this point.
i suppose that they may have not been bad enough to acquire the nuge or yaks if that woulda been the case though... |

I agree.
The only reason Edmonton kept bringing up the rookies early is because they were intentionally tanking to keep getting high draft picks. Most gutless way to rebuild a team and I'm glad it's failing miserably.(or at least taking way longer than expected)
But I feel bad for Taylor Hall - never gets a full season in. Poor(rich) kid. - Njuice
I think this could be the most unintelligent thing I've ever read on here...this actually makes the entire human race look bad...congrats on that...this is why you are not working for an NHL team, but merely making stupid comments with your computer. |

Jesus, give it a rest.
Last time i checked Quebec was still part of a federalist nation in which equalization payments are the norm. Now i have no idea what province you come from or was born in, but i can guarantee you to a hundred percent certainty that if you are over the age of 20 to 25 and are not from Ontario, then Quebecer's, both franco and anglo alike have footed the bill for whatever infrastructure, public works and government institutions you rely on.
The East payed for the rise of the West while also sustaining the Maritimes post fishing , now the West must pay to help us get back on our feet post manufacturing. When the East reemerges, then we pay back the West when the Oil bubble bursts and vice versa. Federal taxes will always exist anyways so wtf is your point. |

Damn, Taylor Hall is on one of my fantasy teams, but I already have Nash and Gagner taking up my two IR slots. I have to drop one of the three, what should I do? |
